The Córdoba International Horror Film Festival is a cultural event positioned as one of the leading platforms in Argentina and Latin America for the exhibition, training, and development of genre cinema. Its 11th edition, to be held in August 2026, will present a comprehensive program that combines screenings, educational activities, professional development opportunities, industry spaces, and events open to the community.

Terror Córdoba invites filmmakers and enthusiasts to participate with their audiovisual works in its 11th edition that will take place in Córdoba, Argentina.
The festival will accept short films and feature films in the genres of horror, fantasy, science fiction, and thriller, produced between 2024 and 2026. This edition will include a competitive section open to feature films longer than 60 minutes and short films up to 15 minutes in length.

This is a festival organized collectively, self-managed, and non-profit. Its main objectives are to promote and encourage works within the aforementioned genres, strengthen exchange and cultural diversity and promote a support and dissemination network for independent genre cinema.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1- Filmmakers, students and enthusiasts from any part of the world may participate in the festival.

2- Productions must be framed within the genres: horror, fantasy, science fiction and thriller and must have been produced between 2024 and 2026.

3- Each participant may submit a maximum of one (1) work. It is not required that the works be premiere. Works that have already been screened in previous editions of the Festival will not be accepted.

4- Registration in the festival implies full and unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions.


5- The submission period will open on March 1st, 2026, and will close on April 20, 2026, at 11:59 PM, with no exceptions.

6- Submission of audiovisual works:

For the preselection of audiovisual material, participants must send an online via Festhome.

The submitted material must have the following characteristics:

Minimum resolution: HD (1280x720)
Minimum audio quality: 48 kHz - 16 or 24 bits - Stereo.

Short films: Only short films with a maximum duration of 15 minutes will be accepted. Works that exceed this time will not be considered.
Feature films: Only feature films with a minimum duration of 60 minutes will be accepted. Works whose duration is less than this time will not be considered.
Once the works in competition have been selected, the programming team will inform them of the necessary conditions for their screening in the theater.

7- Works that include pre-existing images and/or sounds will be accepted under the sole responsibility of the participant, regarding original rights with third parties. Filmmakers will be responsible for any claims made by third parties concerning their contribution to the production, including copyright, image rights, performers’ rights, etc.

8- Works whose original language is not Spanish must include Spanish subtitles, this being a mandatory and exclusive requirement. Works that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

9- Selected works will remain in the festival’s archive, with the commitment not to use them for profit, but they may be used for promotion, retrospectives, exhibitions, or special screenings.

10- The organizing committee of the festival will make a preselection of the material that will participate in the competitive instance, as well as the works that will be screened in the exhibition.

11- A jury convened by the organizing committee will be responsible for selecting the winning films of the festival, awarding the following honorary prizes:

Each winner will receive a statuette and certificate, presented at the festival’s closing ceremony. If the winner is not present to receive the award, it may be delivered to a representative or sent by postal mail; in this case, shipping costs will be borne by the participant. The organizing committee is not responsible for loss, damage, or any issues that may occur during shipping.

12- Participation in the festival is free of charge for projects from Córdoba Province, regardless of duration.

For productions outside the Province of Córdoba (Argentina), the following registration fees are established:

Argentine Feature Film: 10 USD (ARS $14,500)
International Feature Film: 15 USD (ARS $21,500)

Argentine Short Film: 3 USD (ARS $4,000)
International Short Film: 8 USD (ARS $11,500)
Amounts expressed in Argentine pesos are indicative and may be subject to change.
Payment must be made through the festival’s website, and submission of the payment receipt is mandatory.

Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued for withdrawals or disqualifications.

13- The organizers may suspend, modify and/or cancel this festival when unforeseen circumstances justify it.




  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
