Montaverner Town Hall announces the 1ST Short Film Contest Against Gender-Based Violence and for equality Between Men And Woman. It is an activity to promote equality between men and womand and against gender-bases violence.

AWARDS.

The following is established as a prize for the best work and in accordance with the verdict of the jury:

✓ Economic prize of € 400.00 (To be paid by bank transfer).

✓Projection to Mon-Doc 2022 (Montaverner International Documentary Film Festival) to the non-competitive section of “Exhibition”, (taking into account, when the time comes, if the event can be held in the current situation derived from the the COVID-19) The Mon-Doc organization will have the power to decide the date and time of the winning short film screening, communicating it to the representative or representatives of the work so that, if it wishes, they may or may be present at the screening. The award may be declared void by the jury.

RULES 2nd SHORT FILMS COMPETITION AGAINST GENDER VIOLENCE AND FOR EQUALITY OF MONTAVERNER -Castellano-

ARTICLE 1.- PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION
The City Council of Montaverner, convenes within the different actions and activities that it organizes to promote equality between men and women and against gender violence, the 2nd Montaverner Short Film Contest Against Gender Violence and for Equality, in accordance with the powers granted by current legislation in this area.

ARTICLE 2.- CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
A single section is established, where all those works that meet the following requirements can be presented:

• Short films produced in Spain from January 1, 2021.
• Maximum duration 30 minutes.
• Works that are presented in a language other than Valencian or Spanish must include subtitles in one of these languages.
• Each author may submit as many works as they wish, provided they meet the conditions established in these rules.

• The works presented will deal with equality between women and men or
against gender violence.

ARTICLE 3.- REGISTRATION
Registration will be made through the platform www.festhome.com and the submission period will begin the day after the publication of these rules and will end on Friday, May 27, 2022.

2 In accordance with the powers to carry out actions against gender violence attributed in article 25.2.o) of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime and in accordance with the reserved powers local entities to the State Pact on Gender Violence, in accordance with the measures of the report of the Subcommission for a State Pact on gender violence approved by the Congress of Deputies and the report of the Study Paper for the elaboration of strategies against gender violence approved in the
Senate With the registration will be presented:

1. Short film
2. Trailer
3. Two frames of the film and poster.
4. DNI or equivalent document of the director / director or the CIF of the production company or distributor that has the distribution rights of the work.
5. Biography and filmography of the director / director or directors / directors of the short film.

ARTICLE 4.- SELECTION AND JURY
Once the different works have been received, a first selection of the short films will be made according to whether or not they comply with the requirements stipulated in article 1 of these rules.

The Jury will be made up of:

• Councilor for Social Welfare, Equality, Women and Festivals of Montaverner
• Montaverner Councilor for Culture.
• One municipal technician for each of the departments involved.

Once the different works have been viewed and scored by the jury, a resolution will be published with the appointment of the winning short film (a decision that cannot be appealed).

ARTICLE 5.- PRIZES.
The following is established as a prize for the best work and according to the verdict of the jury:

✓ Economic endowment of €400.00 (To be paid by bank transfer).
✓ Screening at Mon-Doc 2021 (Montaverner International Documentary Film Festival) in the non-competitive section of "Show", (taking into account, when the time comes, if the event can be held given the current situation derived from the COVID-19 pandemic). COVID-19).

The organization of the Mon-Doc will have the power to decide the date and time of exhibition of the winning short film, communicating it to the representative or representatives of the work so that, if they wish, they can or can be present at the screening. The award may be declared void by the jury.

ARTICLE 6.- AUTHOR'S RIGHTS AND DISSEMINATION OF THE WORKS.
The organization of this contest understands that the participants to the prize have the exhibition rights of the works presented, becoming
The authors of the works themselves are responsible for their content in their
whole.
The organization may make a public screening of the short films presented in activities or actions organized to promote equality between men and women and against gender violence and in the cultural programming of the City Council, without paying exhibition rights for them.

ARTICLE 7- ACCEPTANCE OF THE BASES.
The presentation of works to the contest implies the total acceptance of the bases and the conditions to which they refer.
The organization reserves the right to modify any point of these rules if the circumstances so require, giving adequate publicity to the changes made.

ARTICLE 8.- FUNDING.
The financing of this contest will be charged to the credits of the Municipal Budget of the Department of Equality of the Montaverner City Council for the year 2022.
