The Incontrastable Film Festival is a space that promotes the dissemination of independent audiovisual works within the South American countries of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela. It also seeks to bring these independent productions closer to the general population, promoting critical cinema that contributes to the development of a much broader and more inclusive cinematographic culture.

The jury’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

IV INCONTRASTABLE FILM FESTIVAL

CALL FOR ENTRIES AND REGULATIONS 2026

I. INTRODUCTION

Huancayo, as an “incontrastable” city, represents resilient people who refuse to be conquered, who move forward and bring their projects to life using their own ideas and resources, much like many independent filmmakers who embody the spirit of Incontrastable Cinema.

The Incontrastable Film Festival is a space that promotes the dissemination of independent audiovisual works, both nationally and across IBERO-AMERICA. It also seeks to bring these independent productions closer to the general public, promoting critical cinema that contributes to the development of a broader and more inclusive film culture.

II. GENERAL GUIDELINES

2.1. The Incontrastable Film Festival was founded in the city of Huancayo, in central Peru.

Its 4th edition will be held in a hybrid format from May 2 to May 9, 2026.

2.2. The call for film submissions will close on March 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (Peruvian time).

2.3. Films may be of any theme, technique, and format.

They must have been completed on or after January 1, 2024.

2.4. The country of origin of the production must be one of the IBERO-AMERICAN countries:

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

2.5. Films in a language other than Spanish must include embedded Spanish subtitles.

2.6. Filmmakers, cultural managers, professionals, or amateurs who have a production and meet the stated requirements may submit their works, regardless of the group, collective, or organization to which they belong.

2.7. Applicants may submit up to two (02) works per category.

2.8. All works will be evaluated by the Festival jury, who will select the films for the official selection and determine the winners.

III. COMPETITIVE SECTIONS

The Festival includes the following official sections:

A. INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

International Fiction Feature Film

The production company and/or director must belong to an Ibero-American country.

Theme, technique, and format are open.

Running time: over 60 minutes.

International Non-Fiction Feature Film

The production company and/or director must belong to an Ibero-American country.

Includes documentary and experimental films.

Running time: over 60 minutes.

B. NATIONAL COMPETITION (PERU)

1. National Fiction Feature Film

The production company and/or director must be Peruvian.

Open theme.

Running time: over 60 minutes.

2. National Non-Fiction Feature Film

The production company and/or director must be Peruvian.

Includes documentary and experimental films.

Running time: over 60 minutes.

3. National Fiction Short Film

The production company and/or director must be Peruvian.

Maximum running time: 30 minutes.

4. National Non-Fiction Short Film

The production company and/or director must be Peruvian.

Includes documentary and experimental films.

Maximum running time: 30 minutes.

5. National Music Video

The production company and/or director must be Peruvian.

Must feature a narrative and cinematic language.

6. Experimental Cinema / New Narratives

Works that explore new audiovisual languages.

No running time restrictions.

C. REGIONAL COMPETITION (MACRO-CENTER)

Regional Short Film

The production company and/or director must belong to the Central Macro Region:
Junín, Pasco, Huánuco, Huancavelica, and Ayacucho.

Open genre (fiction or documentary).

Running time: under 30 minutes.

IV. SUBMISSION AND DELIVERY

4.1. National films must be submitted using the official form available at:
www.festci.com

4.2. The viewing link (screener) must be provided in optimal quality (YouTube, Vimeo, or Drive).
The use of a password is recommended.

4.3. International films must be submitted through partner platform:

Festhome.

4.4. Selected films will enter competition and be part of the Festival program.

The organizing committee reserves the right to declare any category void.

4.5. Once selected, the delivery of the master file for screening will be coordinated
(DCP or H.264).

4.6. The authors of the selected works authorize the use of images and trailers for Festival promotion purposes.

The works will not be used for commercial purposes.

4.7. Viewing links must remain active until the end of the submission period and throughout the Festival dates.

The jury’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal.





  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
