Focused since three decades ago on the discovery of new talents and the diversity of contemporary cinema, Granada Film Fest has a special interest in upcoming filmmakers of all nationalities, open to films decided to explore new audiovisual forms regardless of their definition, genre, format or duration.

- Val del Omar Award to the best film, endowed with €1000
- City of Granada Award to the best spanish short film, endowed with €1000
- Youth Jury Award, endowed with €1000
- Hammam Al-Andalus Audience Award, endowed with diploma
- AAMMA Award to genre perspective, endowed with diploma

AGUAESPEJO COMPETITION

- AguaGranada Award, endowed with #1000

VIBRACIONES COMPETITION

- Fundación SGAE Award to the best director, endowed with €500
- Fundación SGAE Award to the best screenwriter, endowed with €500
- Fundación SGAE Award to the best composer, endowed with €500

The official selection of the festival is divided by three main sections: International Competition, Aguaespejo Competition and Vibraciones Competition.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

Open to feature films, medium-length films and short films unreleased or completed after January 2023, without limits of duration, genre or nationality.

AGUAESPEJO COMPETITION

Promoted by Fundación AguaGranada, the Aguaespejo Competition invites to discuss on the relations between moving images and our environment. Water as a source of artistic expression and a medium for experimentation with audiovisual language.

With no limits of duration or nationality, unreleased or completed after January 2023.

VIBRACIONES COMPETITION

Promoted by Fundación SGAE, the Vibraciones Competition is a new section open to andalusian short films and medium-length films, 60 minutes long maximum.

After accepting the invitation to participate in the festival, films cannot be withdrawn from the program. Jury’s decision is final.

The organization of the Festival will provide Diputación de Granada with a copy of all the films selected in the International Competition. These films will be provided in the same format in which they have been sent and will become part of the audiovisual database of Diputación de Granada.

The organization of the Festival will provide a copy of the awarded film of the AguaGranada Award to the funds of Fundación AguaGranada.

The Festival organization may use images or clips of the selected films for promotional use and public exhibition during the celebration of the festival.
