PARIS ANIMATION CONTEST is an Paris international short-film competition. Our mission is to bring international independent animated short films to the widest possible audience in Europe and beyond. We want to give this opportunity to young filmakers and animators.

In 2026, a professional jury will give five awards:

- Meilleur film (Best Narrative)
- Meilleure réalisation (Best Directing)
- Meilleur scénario (Best Writing)
- Meilleur travail visuel (Best Visual)
- Meilleur travail sonore (Best Score)

And a prize will be given by the audience :

- Prix du Public (Audience Awards)

Section 1.
PARIS ANIMATION CONTEST is an International Short Film Contest open to all filmmakers. It aims to highlight animated cinema in all its forms.

Section 2.
This contest does not require financial participation for student film.

Section 3.
The short film must be sent in digital format by using one of these platforms: FestHome. The film should not exceed 20 minutes (with credits). Filmmakers can send multiples shorts but only one can be selected for the jury. Non-French film must have French or english subtitles files. Films composed primarily of generative AI are not permitted.

Section 4.
To participate, shorts must have been completed between January 1st 2025 and January 18th 2026. The short must not have participated to a previous edition of PARIS ANIMATION CONTEST. The film must be composed of 80% of animated scene (CGI, stop-motion, cutout animation, paint…).

Section 5.
Each filmmakers declares to be the author and the owner of every right on the movie. Right issues can’t be imputed to LES AMICALES or DORIANE FILMS.

Section 6.
Inscription are open from September 1rd 2025 to January 18th 2026. Once this date has passed, no more film will be accepted. Every participating short will be watch by selection board. This board will choose best movies to feature on these categories:

• Best Film
• Best Directing
• Best Screenplay
• Best Visual
• Best Score
• Audience awards

Five shorts will be chosen in each category. A film can be in multiples categories. We will be contacting filmmakers of chosen films. Selected short will be send to jury of professionals that will watch and decide on prize list. The results issued by the jury cannot be contested.

Section 7.
The participation to this contest implies that the owner of the film authorizes LES AMICALES and DORIANE FILMS to make two free public projections of the film. Images and very short clips of shorts can be used to promote the contest on our website and social networks.

Article 8.
Contest will close with a ceremony award which take place in à Parisian theater. The date of this ceremony will be announced later.

Article 9.
The dates of the registration period as well as the award ceremony can be modified until the last moment by DORIANE FILMS in case of force majeure.

Article 10.
A trophy will be presented for each award at the ceremony. If no director is present at the ceremony, the trophy will be sent free of charge to the person in charge of registration. The possible awards given during the ceremony will be communicated later.



  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
