Idromeno Independent Film Festival (1)

Idromeno Independent Film Festival is the first Film Festival regarding the independent cinema in Albania.

Its attempt is to build a new mentality in the Albanian kino-reality. With a curated film program, panel discussions, Q&As with directors and many other novelties such as Idromeno Industrial, Idromeno Evocative, Idromeno Uncovering, it has become one of the most promising Film Festivals in the country. We welcome directors from all over the world.

Selected projects from all categories will be presented to the public at Idromeno IFF 4th Edition that will be held in Shkodra, Albania, from 11th to 18th October 2025 (Idromeno IFF 2025).
Films that are submitted must be produced after 1 January 2022, they must have English subtitles and be available in DCP and MP4 format.
Possibly, they have to be in accordance as much as possible with the theme “Tales of Authenticity” regarding Folklore, identity and tradition.
Films that are submitted must not infringe any copyrights or any other rights of any third Parties.
Multiple entries are accepted.

Selection process will take in account:
- Feature Film (60+ minutes in length)
- Short Film (length in between 2 and 60 minutes)
- Student Film (made by young directors which are still students)
- Animation Film –Please note that this is a category out of competition, the best Animation Movie will have a Special Mention.
Animation Films must be submitted according to their time lengths.
Please note that documentaries and music video will not be taken into consideration

Once the selection process is nearly complete , our designated team will contact the filmmakers from the pre-selection to confirm their continued interest in participating and to clarify any eventual doubt or question.
