The Wild Cinema presents a selection of films in which nature, adventure, and sustainability will be the protagonists.

The films will be projected in a natural environment, with the stars as a ceiling and the trees as seatmates. A different cinematographic evening, in the community, outdoors, and with all the advantages of a total festival like The Wild.

AWARDS & JURY'S DECISIONS

For this edition the awards will be:

The Wild Cinema Grand Award. To the best feature film.
The Wild Cinema Grand Award. To the best short film.
Esperanza Award (Hope Award). To the best environmental film.

Decisions made by juries and others with awards decision-making authority cannot be appealed.

VII THE WILD CINEMA

1. SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
1.1. Any individual, company, association, or informal group may participate, regardless of age, nationality, or any other condition.
1.2. Submitted short films must focus on themes such as nature, wildlife, the environment, ecological activism, adventure sports, and/or mountain-related topics.
1.3. Films intended for children and family audiences (Children’s Section) may also participate, provided they fall within the genres described in point 1.2.
1.4. There is no limit to the number of submissions per filmmaker.
1.5. Short films must have a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
1.6. Feature films must have a maximum duration of 150 minutes.
1.7. Works produced in 2023 or later are eligible.
1.8. Submissions must respect principles of equality, diversity, and non-discrimination.

2. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Films in any language other than Spanish or Galician must include subtitles in either of these two languages or, at the very least, provide a transcript of the dialogue in English, Spanish, or Galician.

3. DEADLINE
3.1. The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM (CET).

4. SCREENING
4.1. Selected films will be screened during The Wild Cinema in Vigo (Galicia, Spain).
4.2. The organization reserves the right to screen or present selected works at other festivals and events in collaboration with The Wild organization, or for promotional purposes. In all cases, it will be made clear that the works were submitted to The Wild Cinema. Prior permission will always be requested from the rights holders of the works.

5. SUBMISSION AND DELIVERY
5.1. To register, all submitted works must complete the Entry Form available until the submission deadline through one of the following platforms:

6. AWARDS AND JURY DECISIONS
6.1. Awards for this edition include:
6.1.1. The Wild Cinema Grand Prize – Best Feature Film
6.1.2. The Wild Cinema Grand Prize – Best Short Film
6.1.3. Esperanza Award – Best Environmental Film
6.2. The decisions of the jury and any other decision-making body are final and cannot be appealed.

7. ANNOUNCEMENTS
7.1. Any changes to the festival’s dates or location will be published on the official festival channels and website.
7.2. The selection results will be sent via email to all participants and later published on the festival’s official website.

8. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
8.1. Submitting a film to this contest implies full acceptance of these terms.
8.2. Any matters not covered by these terms will be resolved at the discretion of the jury, the festival organizers, and/or A.C. The Wild.
8.3. In the event of a legal dispute, only the Galician version of these rules shall be considered legally binding.
