Souss International Short Film Festival – مهرجان سوس الدولي للفيلم القصير

The Souss International Short Film Festival is an annual cinematic and cultural event held in Aït Melloul, in the Agadir region of Morocco. The Festival celebrates short-form cinema as a platform for artistic expression, cultural exchange, and dialogue between peoples and cultures.

The 19th edition of the Souss International Short Film Festival will take place from May 4 to 8, 2027, featuring two official competitions: Short Fiction Film and Short Documentary Film.

In addition to film screenings, the Festival organizes parallel activities, including professional training workshops, seminars, masterclasses, discussions with filmmakers and cinema professionals, and events dedicated to film culture and publications.

Organized by Atelier COMMEDIA for Cinematographic Creativity, the Festival is held in partnership with the Municipality of Aït Melloul and the Faculty of Languages, Arts and Human Sciences, Ibn Zohr University, Aït Melloul, with the support of the Moroccan Cinematographic Centre (CCM).

The Festival aims to promote Moroccan and Amazigh cultural identity, encourage cinematic innovation, foster international cultural exchange, and strengthen the role of cinema as a bridge between cultures.
