Lago Cinema was born as a projection event of the best audiovisual works of the students from Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Toluca.
Today, it has become a film festival for students, with the objective that young creators have a space to show their best audiovisual and cinematographic works produced in their studies.

The festival is open to all Tecnológico de Monterrey campuses, as well as schools that pursue communication and cinematography majors. In addition to the TEC high school (Toluca and Metepec), where students do audiovisual work and high schools in the Valley of Toluca and Metepec.

The dates on which Lago Cinema will take place are from November 10 to 15, 2023

This year the categories Documentary, Fiction, Music Video, Minute Video and Kick-off (Over 14 years and under 18) will be awarded.

The best project in each category will win the festival's representative statuette and an official diploma.

This festival is exclusively for students. It is open in various categories, the only constant is that they are works done by students.

Open to Mexican students and from all of Latin America.

Films made between 2022 and 2023 can participate.

The maximum duration is 30 minutes for short films.

Deadline for receipt of papers will be until 11:59 pm on October 21, 2023.

Works delivered after the date of reception will not be accepted. They must be finished works and not Works in progress.

The registered works that their original language is not in Spanish must be subtitled in that language.

Filmmakers must own the rights to the material submitted at the time of entry, including script, music, audio, photography, video, and graphics. The Festival reserves the right to require proof of authorship if necessary.

All works will be reviewed by an evaluation committee, choosing the official selection.
