CINEMA CIRCULANTE IS A TRAVELING FESTIVAL

For ten days, the CINEMA CIRCULANTE festival proposes, in an itinerant way, in ten municipalities of rural Galicia, a meeting between culture, cinema, people and landscapes. With a diverse program in which films are the starting point, the neighborhood participates and enjoys a meeting space. Between cinema and nature.

Workshops, music, screenings of short films and colloquia... The program condenses in a single day different activities related to films and audiovisuals and aimed at all types of audiences.

The first edition of the Cinema Circulante traveling festival took the program to ten towns of less than 5,000 inhabitants in the provinces of Lugo and Ourense. It was between July 1 and 10, 2023. Because culture and cinema belong to everyone, not just the big cities. Because the projections, with the backdrop of the impressive screen that is nature, are cinematic.

This project received the Grant to expand and diversify the cultural offer in non-urban areas Culture Territory of the Xunta de Galicia.
