The 9th Curta Lages International Film Festival offers a broad, diverse, and international programme, presenting competitive and non-competitive screenings of short- and feature-length films in every format and genre.

The jury will award the following prizes:

Best International Feature Film.
Best International Short Film.
Best Brazilian Feature Film.
Best Brazilian Short Film.
Best Documentary Research
Best Screenplay
Best Direction
Best Performance
Best Feature Film (Popular Jury)
Best Short Film (Popular Jury)

ATTENTION

Due to programming logistics, all national and international feature films will only be shown online, directly at curtalages.com. All selected films participate in the competitive section. By submitting your film, you accept the terms of participation.

Films from Santa Catarina will be accepted with a longer time limit (up to 30 minutes for short films, and no production deadline). You must request the registration form via curtalages@gmail.com.

Films with dialogue in languages ​​other than Portuguese must submit Portuguese (Brazil) subtitles as an SRT file.

The Festival will not pay any screening fees to the authors/distributors of the selected films.

The curatorial coordination and programming direction of the festival reserve the right to disqualify films that have been approved by the curatorial team, even if already announced in the program, and have not completed subsequent qualification steps.

Once selected, a film cannot be withdrawn from the competition.

The selected works will be publicly and freely exhibited on the days designated by the Festival, according to a previously prepared calendar. It is understood that the authors or producers of the works, by participating, grant authorization for such exhibitions. The organization may publish printed material about the works to be exhibited. The authors and/or producers of the works also authorize the use of a fragment of the works for dissemination in any means of promoting the festival.

Preference will be given to works that follow the proposed curatorial line and include accessibility mechanisms through sign language, descriptive subtitles, or audio description.

Upon registration, participants accept the festival regulations and grant all exhibition rights after selection by the Festival's curatorial team.

The curatorial team's decisions are final.
