Barcelona Queer Film Festival (3)

The Barcelona Queer Film Festival is a Queer (LGBTQ+) film festival celebrating its third edition in Barcelona, ​​Spain.

There will also be activities related to Queer literature and art in the days leading up to the festival.

Feature film (fiction). With an honorary award.

Feature-length documentary. With an honorary award.

Short film (fiction or documentary). With an honorary award.

Music video. With an honorary award.

The festival will accept films of all nationalities. If they are in a language other than Spanish, they must be subtitled in Spanish (or at least have English subtitles).

Subtitles are not required for the music video category.

Films and music videos must have been produced between 2020 and 2026. They do not need to be previously released in Spain. Works in progress will not be accepted.

All audiovisual pieces must have an EXCLUSIVELY LGBTQ+ theme, and all genres are accepted.

The categories participating in the competition are as follows:

The deadline for submitting films, short films, and music videos is September 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (Central European Summer Time +2).

The festival will notify selected films of their participation on September 15, 2026.

Selected films must submit the following documentation to the Festival:

The film, short film, or music video in digital format only: MP4 H.264, minimum resolution FULL HD (1920 x 1080).

If subtitles are included, they must be embedded.

High-quality photographs, press kit, and film poster.

A trailer in digital format: MP4 H.264, minimum resolution FULL HD (1920 x 1080).

If subtitles are included, they must be embedded.

The deadline for submitting the selected film and all the required materials is October 1, 2026.

If these files and information are not received by the indicated date (October 1, 2026), the Festival may reject your entry.

Participants are responsible for the copyright of their works.

The Festival may be rescheduled in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Participation implies full acceptance of these Regulations.
