The WorldWide Filmmaker Fest is an international festival dedicated to excellence and innovation in the independent film and audiovisual industry. Organized by Tireless Films, this event aims to provide visibility and recognition to emerging and professional filmmakers from around the world.

With a hybrid and itinerant format, the festival will launch its first edition in Madrid in 2025, with future editions planned in different regions of Spain. Its programming includes a diverse selection of short films, feature films, music videos, web series, digital advertising, and innovative audiovisual formats, along with networking opportunities, masterclasses, and workshops led by industry professionals.

The World Wide Filmmaker Fest is more than just a festival; it is a global platform for showcasing talent, fostering growth, and connecting filmmakers who seek to challenge the norms of traditional cinema and explore new storytelling formats in the digital era.

The prizes in each category will be awarded both for works produced in Spain and for international works independently.
The winners will receive:

Official certificate of recognition.
Statuette from the World Wide Filmmaker Fest.

Featured promotion on the festival's website and official networks.

Additionally, the possibility of awarding prizes with additional benefits is contemplated in the categories in which agreements are reached with sponsors. The organization will inform the participants in a timely manner before the awards ceremony.

OFFICIAL RULES

The first edition of the World Wide Filmmaker Fest will be held in Madrid in 2025, Organized by Tireless Films SL. It is a global event dedicated to excellence and innovation in the independent film and audiovisual industry. Below are the official rules for the 2025 festival:

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

All producers and/or directors, natural or legal persons, who own the rights to the works may participate in any of the competitive sections.

The works must have been produced after January 1, 2022.

Works by filmmakers from anywhere in the world may be registered, regardless of their place of production or residence.
All works, regardless of the original language, must have subtitles in Spanish or English.

Accepted formats for screening:
Digital formats: QuickTime, H.264, ProRes.
Embedded subtitles or delivered in .SRT file.

REGISTRATION PROCESS
Registration platforms: Registrations are made exclusively through Festhome.

Registration fees:

Short films: €5
Feature films: €10
Series €10
Video clips, Advertising and Alternative Formats: €5

Number of registrations: Each participant can register only one work per Section.

There may be discounts for registration fees at early dates of the call, these will be notified on each of the platforms.

PRIZES

The prizes of each category will be awarded both for works made in Spain, and for international works independently.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

Participants guarantee that they have all necessary rights to the works entered and release the festival from any third-party claims.

The festival may use fragments, images and trailers of the selected participating works for the historical memory, making of and the promotion of the event in its successive editions.

The winning works will be stored in a private digital Archive of the festival for 2 years, unless otherwise notified by the author.

The Festival organization will establish the order and date of screening, within the framework of the activities of the current 2025 edition of each selected film, reserving the right to screen it in any of its physical or digital venues, in accordance with the programming of the same.

Once selected, the work cannot be withdrawn from the competitive or screening program.

SCREENINGS AND FORMAT

Hybrid mode: Screenings will be held in person and virtually, with controlled access for the duration of the festival.

Technical requirements: Participants will receive detailed instructions for sending screening files and promotional materials.

JURY AND SELECTION

The initial selection process will be carried out by a technical team designated by the organization to obtain the selected works.

Evaluation: An international jury composed of 3 professionals from the sector per section will evaluate each of the selected works in each category, according to criteria such as: creativity, innovation, narrative and visual impact.

Final decisions: All votes and decisions of the jury will be final and will not be subject to appeal.

EQUALITY POLICIES

The festival does not discriminate creators based on sex, sexuality, nationality, religion, ethnic origin, age or any factor irrelevant to the evaluation of audiovisual works.

VERY IMPORTANT

The submission and registration of short films implies acceptance of these rules, as well as the assumption of responsibility by the director and/or producer regarding the image and sound rights of their audiovisual work.

By registering, you also expressly accept that the World Wide Filmmaker Fest may screen your short film, free of payment of exhibition rights, during the dates of the festival and in the physical or digital rooms or screens necessary for the development of the festival's activities.

The festival reserves the right to cancel any work that presents technical irregularities, intellectual property rights or for violation of human rights, incitement to hatred, lack of respect, non-compliance with rules or other reasons that the organization considers. Likewise, the organization is not responsible for a possible cancellation of the festival or modification of the dates, modification of the festival rules, for reasons of force majeure.

DATA PROTECTION

In compliance with the provisions of article 5 of Organic Law 15/1999, on the Protection of Personal Data, of December 13, and its implementing regulations, we inform you that the data you have provided us will be integrated into a file owned by the WorldWide Filmmaker Fest and for whose processing THE ORGANIZING COMPANY, TIRELESS FILMS, SL with address at Calle Era Alta 29, NAMBROCA, TOLEDO, is responsible for the correct management of the development of the World Wide Filmmaker Fest 2025 mentioned in this same document. After the end of the event, said file will be destroyed, no copy of it being kept.

We also inform you that you may at any time exercise your legal rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition, as well as revoke your consent, by sending a written communication to the address Calle Era Alta 29, NAMBROCA, TOLEDO, indicating "LOPD" as the reference, and attaching a copy of your ID.

Participation in this competition implies full acceptance of these rules, without any reservations, as well as all resolutions adopted by the Festival organization.

Participants in this festival consent to their personal data being processed in accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the Protection of Personal Data, for the development of this event, as well as to communicate news, updates and general information about the WorldWide Filmmaker Fest.
