Festival start: 17 January 2026      Festival end: 18 January 2026

The third edition of the Short Selection will take place as part of the new Cavaion Film Festival, organized by Liberamente Cavaion APS from January 17 to 18, 2026, at the E. Turri Civic Hall in Cavaion Vicenza.
The films in competition will be divided into three categories: local, international, and young. The selection will be made after the nominations are closed and at the discretion of the event's artistic director.
The evening of Saturday, January 17, will be dedicated to the local selection, while the evening of Sunday, January 18, will be dedicated to the international selection.

Cash Prizes: 100€

LSS3 offers four prizes:

- Best Local Short Film (awarded by a popular jury) - includes a cash prize;

- Best International Short Film (awarded by a popular jury);

- Young Film Award (awarded by the students of the Cavaion Veronese - G. Fracastoro Middle School);

- Grand Jury Prize (awarded by a panel of judges from among all the competing works).

The competition does not include a thematic or genre selection. Fiction, documentary, experimental, and animated works are welcome. Submissions are requested
to be no longer than 15 minutes, including opening and closing credits.

Productions made after January 1, 2022, will be considered.

The deadline for submitting your works is December 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM.

After the selection process has ended, the artistic direction will distinguish the submitted works into three sections:

- local (Italian or Triveneto productions)

- international

- young (suitable for audiences aged 11-14)

For the local selection, a film representative must be present in person at the screening on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Cavaion V.se (VR, Italy). For the international selection, attendance via meet and greet or a short presentation by the film's authors is required.
