The Palafrugell Short Film Showcase aims to be a small exhibition of different short films, created by young filmmakers. In this way, it seeks to create a space for cultural exchange while also serving as a meeting point for future creative synergies.

Over its three editions, the showcase has brought together filmmakers from across Spain and other countries, whose works have been premiered in various film festivals. At the same time, it has also exhibit professionals short films by contemporary filmmakers.

- Only one short film per filmmaker can be submitted.

- The director must be no older than 30 years old.

- The theme of the works is open, provided that no human rights are violated.

- There are four categories: FICTION, DOCUMENTARY, ANIMATION, and EXPERIMENTAL.

- The maximum duration of the short films must not exceed 20 minutes (credits included).

- If the original version is not in Catalan or Spanish, subtitles must be provided in one of these two languages, or in english.

- Registration must be completed through the Festhome platform.

- Once the work has been selected, a final copy must be provided in H.264 format, at 1920×1080 resolution and 20 Mbps.

For subtitles, an .srt file in Catalan, Spanish, or english will be required.

In addition, a promotional image of the work, a couple of still frames, and the technical sheet must be provided.

- The submission deadline is July 31 at 11:59 p.m.

- Selected works will be notified during September 2026.

- The festival will take place on November 27, 28, and 29, 2026.

- The selection decision made by the organization is final and not subject to appeal.

- The organization assumes that participants hold all copyright and exhibition rights to their work and will not be held responsible for any copyright claims.

- By submitting a work, participants grant the exhibition rights of the short film exclusively for the purpose of holding the event.

- The showcase may also use stills and up to 30 seconds of the submitted works for promotional purposes on social media.
