Discover the Magic of the Abia International Film Festival (ABIFF)!

Launched in June 2024, the Abia International Film Festival (ABIFF) made a powerful debut with its inaugural edition held from 20th to 22nd December 2024 in Umuahia, Abia State. The festival brought together filmmakers, actors, industry stakeholders, and creative enthusiasts from across Nigeria and the diaspora in a vibrant celebration of storytelling, innovation, and cultural identity.

ABIFF 2025 – A Remarkable Second Edition
Building on the success of its inaugural outing, ABIFF 2025 recorded a significant milestone with over 1,243 film submissions from filmmakers across Africa, Europe, North America, and Asia — positioning the festival as one of the fastest-growing film platforms in West Africa.

Highlights of the 2025 edition included:

Carefully curated international and African film screenings

Intensive youth training workshops in screenwriting, acting, video editing, and film production management

Industry panel discussions and masterclasses facilitated by seasoned professionals

A glamorous Awards Night celebrating excellence in filmmaking

The highly anticipated All Abia Nollywood Artists Night, uniting Abia-born creatives and industry icons

The festival further strengthened its mission of empowering young creatives, with structured training programs aimed at equipping thousands of Abia youths with practical media and film production skills.
