Steubenville is a steel town sheltered by shale cliffs along the waters of the Ohio, called by Native Americans the O-Y-O, by the French the Belle Rivière. This land has been for centuries the site of the clash of continents, the rise and fall of empires. This valley has been a place of bloodshed and beauty, of exploration and loss. Steel was forged here in molten fire, Mafia bosses feasted, American industry rose and fell. This is a place rife with story, where a Renaissance of arts is rising in the streets. This is a land of stories, and we are seeking yours.
Film is an art form that brings stories to life and sparks conversation, contemplation, and change. November 13th and 14th, 2026, we invite filmmakers and audiences to gather for the Steubenville International Film Festival. SIFF will present powerful narrative and documentary films from local filmmakers and artists around the world
Located just 30 minutes from the Pittsburgh International Airport, SIFF is committed to providing shuttle service and a home stay program to filmmakers attending the Festival. Screenings will be hosted at the historic Sycamore Center, with an exclusive filmmakers lounge open throughout the festival with complimentary food, beverage, arcade games, and pool tables to encourage creative conversation and networking opportunities. Radio, print, podcast, TV, and social media support will be provided, with interview opportunities available. Panels and workshops will be presented to all attending filmmakers.
Rewards for filmmakers will be offered for the following categories:
Narrative Feature (40 minutes or longer)
Narrative Short (40 minutes or less)
Documentary Feature (40 minutes or longer)
Documentary Short (40 minutes or less)
Youth Short (18 and under, 10 minutes or less)
