The festival will take place in Alicante from December 13 to 19, 2026.

Only short films produced exclusively with a smartphone will be accepted.

Both national and international short films are eligible to participate.

The theme is open to all genres and subjects.

ALICANTE SMARTPHONE 2026 RULES

Participation is open to short film productions shot entirely on a smartphone.

National and international short films are eligible to participate.

The festival has no specific theme requirement.

The submission deadline is November 20, 2026. There is no limit to the number of short films a single participant may submit.

Short films must not exceed 10 minutes in duration.

Submitted short films must be shot on a smartphone; the make and model must be specified. Post-filming image editing or processing is permitted using any editing software the participant deems appropriate.

All individuals or private locations appearing in the short films must do so with their consent. Short films that attack specific groups, contain discriminatory material, or violate human dignity will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Short films must be the original work of the submitting author(s).

Works must be submitted in AVI or MP4 video formats.

There is no age limit for participation; however, participants under the age of 18 must submit an authorization signed by their parents or legal guardians along with the registration form.

Short films with original dialogue in a language other than Spanish must include Spanish subtitles.

The submission period for short films runs from July 13 to November 20, 2026. Short films submitted after this date will not be included in the current edition of the festival.

Decisions made by the Official Jury are final. Awards will be presented at the closing ceremony on December 19, 2026.

Registration implies acceptance of all rules. Participation in the festival constitutes acceptance of these rules. THE AWARDS WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
