Alytus International Film Festival is the oldest film festival in the city of Alytus, Lithuania, and aims to give visibility to the most recent production of short and feature films from around the world and to foster ideas and artistic exchanges, supporting and promoting films from both Lithuania and the international community. Its mission and objectives are:

1. Promotion of cultural values ​​of the peoples of the world

2. Popularization of creative work of filmmakers producing national and ethnic films

3. Development of cultural exchange between regions of Lithuania and foreign countries

4. Making a positive contribution to the development of cinematic art

5. Search for new names of young filmmakers

Cash Prizes: 50,000€

AIFF Feature Awards

Grand Prix — $10,000. The prize will be awarded to the producer(s) of the winning film.

Best Director — $7,500. The prize will be awarded to the director(s) of the winning film.

Best Actor — $5,000. The price will be awarded to the winning actor of the film.

Best Actress — $5,000. The price will be awarded to the winning actress of the film.

Special Jury prize — $5,000. The price will be awarded depending on the Jury's decision.

1st and 2nd runner-up awards to feature films in both Animation and Documentary films

AIFF Shorts Awards

Best Short Film — $4000. The prize will be awarded to the producer(s) of the winning film.

Best Director — $2,500. The prize will be awarded to the director(s) of the winning film.

Best Actor — $2,000. The price will be awarded to the winning actor of the film.

Best Actress — $2,000. The price will be awarded to the winning actress of the film.

Special Jury prize — $3,000. The price will be awarded depending on the Jury's decision.

1st and 2nd runner-up awards to short films in both Animation, Experimental and Documentary films

films produced by film companies, film studios, independent producers, distributors, and any copyright holders are eligible.

Full-length feature films, short feature films, documentary films completed on or after February 1, 2019, are eligible for the competition. 

Films that have already participated in the programs of other festivals may take part in the Festival.
