Festival start: 07 February 2027      Festival end: 08 February 2027

The Amber International Film Festival is a space for honest storytelling from across the globe. We believe cinema should not be confined by limits. It is built on creative freedom where every voice, every perspective and every form of expression is welcomed.

This did not start as a festival. It was just a few of us looking for a space where films could exist without cuts, without filters. What began as a small initiative became a community of filmmakers, dreamers and misfits connected by a love for cinema. It was never about perfection. It was always about perspective.

AIFF was created to connect, not to compete. In an industry driven by scale and perfection, we stand for something quieter: authenticity. Because at its heart, AIFF is not just about films. It is about building a culture where storytelling feels free, inclusive and truly human.

1. Please indicate whether you wish to make your film available for the online festival, year-round programme, and community screenings.

2. As AIFF is a curated festival that showcases only a limited number of handpicked films, preference will be given to works that demonstrate originality in storytelling, innovative use of cinematic language, and high artistic standards.

3. All films must be not released.

4. Films completed on or after 1 January 2025 are eligible for submission.

5. Entries are accepted in all languages. All non-English language films must include English subtitles.

6. Only HD-format film files will be accepted for consideration.

7. Films are accepted via online screener only. No physical copies, DVDs, or courier submissions are required.

8. All submissions must be made through FESTHOME.

9. A filmmaker or production company may submit multiple films.

10. All submission fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

11. The final status of selected films will be communicated directly to applicants by 1 January 2027.

12. Selected films must confirm participation in the festival and submit the required promotional materials within the specified timeframe.

13. Selected films may not be withdrawn once the participation agreement has been signed.

14. AIFF will not pay screening fees, delivery fees, or any other participation-related fees for selected films.

15. AIFF does not cover travel, accommodation, or any related expenses for attending filmmakers. All delegates are responsible for making their own arrangements.

16. All selection decisions are final and binding. AIFF is under no obligation to provide feedback regarding selections or non-selections.

17. Selected films will also be announced and updated on the official AIFF website.

18. Submitted films must not contain any content that violates or infringes upon copyright or intellectual property rights.

19. Films that promote racism, hatred between communities or religions, gender discrimination, animal cruelty, or religious or commercial propaganda will not be accepted.

20. The submitted film must not be subject to any legal dispute.

21. By submitting a film to AIFF, the applicant confirms that they are the rightful owner of the film or possess all necessary rights and authority to submit it.

22. In the case of films produced by an institution or organization, written permission from the relevant authority may be required.

23. A censor board certificate is not mandatory for submission. However, selected films may be subject to applicable regulations.

24. AIFF reserves the right to use promotional materials from selected films for publicity and marketing purposes.

25. Selected films must provide all required information and materials in the prescribed format.

26. AIFF does not encourage resubmissions of previously submitted films.

27. AIFF reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these Rules & Terms at any time.

28. Submission of a film to AIFF constitutes full acceptance of all festival rules, regulations, and decisions.

29. AIFF is committed to supporting independent filmmakers and artists from around the world.

30. AIFF welcomes submissions from emerging filmmakers, student filmmakers, and independent artists whose work demonstrates originality, authenticity, and a distinctive creative voice.

Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
