RULES FOR SHORT FILM SUBMISSIONS
2nd EDITION AMETLLA FILM FEST
I. SUBMISSION PROTOCOL
To submit a film to the Festival and facilitate its screening, the following instructions must be followed:
Register the short film through the official platform designated by the event: festhome.com.
All short films submitted to the Festival must have the necessary authorizations and copyright transfers from the authors and other rights holders of any original pre-existing works incorporated into the short film.
By accepting and complying with these rules, participants make a sworn declaration stating that the submitted short film does not infringe any intellectual or industrial property rights, exploitation rights, or the rights to honor, privacy, and image, nor any other rights of third parties.
The authors of the short films submitted to the Festival grant the rights for public screening.
The genre of the short films is unrestricted.
The minimum duration is 8 minutes and the maximum duration is 30 minutes.
Work-in-progress projects are accepted. This production status must be indicated at the time of submission by checking the appropriate box or by indicating it in parentheses after the title.
All submitted titles whose original version is not in Catalan or Spanish must include subtitles, preferably in Catalan.
DVD / Blu-Ray submissions will not be accepted. Likewise, screening links received outside the official Festhome platform will not be considered.
II. SUBMISSION FEES
The submission fee is €2 per project submitted.
III. SUBMISSION DEADLINES
The submission deadline is:
March 31, 2026
No titles will be accepted after the official submission period has closed.
IV. OFFICIAL PARTICIPATION PROCEDURE IN CASE OF SELECTION
4.1. In the event of selection, filmmakers must provide the Festival with high-quality promotional materials—such as photographs, posters, press kits, trailers, etc.—so that the Festival can properly promote the film. The Festival reserves the right not to return these materials.
4.2. In the event of selection, the director must provide the appropriate screening materials: an unencrypted DCP, a digital HD-quality file (.mov), and a dialogue list and/or subtitles.
Participating films must obligatorily include subtitles in Catalan and/or Spanish, or be dubbed into these languages.
The Festival will not return these materials, which will be destroyed once the event has concluded.
