The International Afro Film Festival "Ananse" aims to make visible the cultural and social aspects about the black population. Working as part of a circuit that allows alternative movement be made known to new filmmakers to make videos about the Afro-descendants in the entire world.
"Ananse" is the first festival that invites filmmakers around the country the possibility to create spaces visible productions representing the views of the black communities.
The 2022 version has the following prizes:
“Best Documentary Film” – Prize $2,000,000
“Best fiction film” – Prize $2,000,000
Additionally you will get:
* Participation in the virtual exhibition "ANANSE PROYECTA"
* Participation in the "Víctor Nieto" Awards within the framework of the International Festival of
* Cinema of Cartagena de Indias - FICCI
* Participation certificate
REGULATION
The films registered to participate in the official selection of the Afro Ananse Film Festival must meet the following conditions:
1. The themes of the works must deal with social, political and / or cultural aspects of Afro-Colombian communities.
2. That its production has ended after January 1, 2010
3. The short films will be presented in SPANISH, otherwise they must be subtitled or dubbed into Spanish.
4. There is no requirement on the capture, recording or filming format, but its technical quality will be taken into account in the selection.
5. The duration of the documentary works must be a minimum of (10 min) ten minutes and a maximum of (52 min) fifty-two minutes.
6. Advertising works, institutional videos, or journalistic or similar reports will not be accepted.
7. The call IS NOT EXCLUSIVE for Afro-descendant filmmakers.
8. The audiovisual products must have been made in COLOMBIA to participate in the national contest, but there is no specified nationality to participate in the samples or exhibitions.
