The 11th Short 8 - Curitiba International Super8 Film Festival is a Latin American festival exclusively dedicated to super8.

Only films produced after 2012 and that have not been shown in previous editions of Short 8 can take part in the competitive sections. However, films completed prior to 2012 may register and participate out of competition, if selected by the curators. The overuse of digital effects in the editing, which descaracterize or even makes impossible to know if the job was originally shot in super8, may invalidate the registration.

The "Short 8" promote on July 11 and 12, 2015 in the city of Curitiba / PR the 8th cinema workshop on super-8 in free nature . The selected participants (approx. 10 in total) have two more weeks to produce their films.

In this category the director fills the registration form by June 26, 2015 with a proposal summary of your movie and waits for a confirmation that will be sent via email by July 05, 2015. If the application is approved, the director has until July 31, 2015 to run his film at the festival and send the shot cartridge (without revealing).

In this category entries will be accepted until July 31, 2015 Super-8 films with a maximum of 15 minutes in length and were later edited with the use of tape for the content to be displayed in their original format.
