The Fan Boy Film Festival is an online film festival for filmmakers who want to share their art with fans and interact with other filmmakers.

Fan Boy is awarding a $10,000 Grand Prize for the Best Film.

Fan Boy Film Festival accepts features, documentaries, shorts, student films, web series, trailers, music videos and original trailers in the following genres: science fiction, drama, comedy, fantasy, horror, action, animation, superhero, fan film, fandom related genres and many more. We want it ALL. If you see it at a Comic Con or on the internet then it belongs on Fan Boy!

Understanding that the times have changed, Fan Boy has created a special category for BEST FILM MADE ON A SMART PHONE OR TABLET ($5,000 Prize).

Fan Boy has also created the Best Meme Contest ($1,000 Prize). Submit your best Memes. Who doesn't love a good Meme?

That’s why Fan Boy doesn’t believe in stuffy judge boards found at typical film festivals and have decided that the winners should be decided entirely by fan votes. Fan Boy believes films are great regardless of subjective metrics and that the fans should be the judges.

$10,000 - Best Film Grand Prize

$5,000 - Best Film Made on a Smart Phone or Tablet Award

$1,000 - Best MEME Award

There are 3 main film categories.

• Feature Films
• Short Films (less than 50 minutes run-time)
• Smart Device Film (film created on Smart Phone or Tablet)

Feature films are to be submitted through Festhome.

Shorts and Smart Device entrants are to be submitted directly on the Fan Boy Film Festival website.

We are awarding $10,000 to the Best Film and $5,000 to the Best Film created on a Smart Phone or Tablet.

The contest will open for submissions on March 15th, 2016.

Deadline for Film Submissions is July 1st, 2016.
Voting will begin on July 15th, 2016.

The winner will be announced on August 26th, 2016 after the Fan Boy Film Festival.

• The film submission (Short or Feature) with the most votes on the Fan Boy Film Festival site by its registered users will win the grand prize of $10,000 (ten thousand dollars US).

• The film submission created on a Smart Phone or Tablet with the most votes on the Fan Boy Film Festival site by its registered users will win a prize of $5,000 (five thousand dollars US). The filmmaker must note which device their film was created on.

• The only way to win is by getting the most votes, so share your film page once it's up in the gallery. Check back after submitting to see if your film is selected. An email will be sent out to selected filmmakers by July 4th.

• If multiple film entries have equal votes at the close of the contest, the respective prizes will be divided equally.

• There is no limit on how many submissions a Fan Boy Film Festival user can make.

• All submissions must be original and the filmmakers must have authority and ownership of the content they upload.

• If someone else might own the copyright to it, do not upload it. Users are liable for false
representation of copyright ownership.
