24·90 FC is a film festival devoted to football, in Medellín, Colombia. Cinema for football people, football for cinema people.
Four days in a city where football plays at home on every corner, devoted to football cinema from around the world. One condition holds the programme together: football must be present, whether as the core of the story, as its trigger, or as the setting where it unfolds. Format, running time and cinematic language are free.
Organised by Corporación Cinéfagos, 15 years running film festivals in Antioquia.
Cash Prizes: 2,700€
Best feature: USD 2,000.
Best short: USD 1,000.
The two awards are independent of each other. They are decided by a jury separate from the selection committee and paid to the rights holder, by bank transfer, within 60 days of the close of the festival. The festival may give special mentions with no cash prize.
CALENDAR
Call opens: 1 October 2026.
Deadline: 15 December 2026, 18:00 Colombia time, equivalent to midnight Central European Time.
Results: 25 January 2027.
Festival: 4–7 March 2027, in Medellín.
SECTIONS
The Official Selection is the competitive part of the festival and has two sections, split by running time. Section names stay in Spanish; the English is a translation.
Largo Aliento (The Full Ninety): features from 40 minutes, any country.
Toque Corto (Short Pass): short and medium-length films from 1 to 39 minutes, any country.
Running time is counted in full, credits included: up to 39 minutes and 59 seconds is Toque Corto, and from 40 minutes, Largo Aliento. If a film is entered in the wrong section, the festival moves it to the right one.
Latin American cinema, with Colombia at its centre, has no separate section: it competes on equal terms in both, and the programming team seeks it out.
ELIGIBILITY
Premiere: not required. A film may have premiered or screened before at other festivals or in cinemas.
Films in which football is present, completed on or after 1 January 2024 as declared on the Festhome entry form, any genre. Finished films only: rough cuts and works in progress are not accepted. The use of artificial intelligence tools is accepted; please declare it on the entry form. Declaring it does not affect the assessment.
Films not in Spanish must be submitted with Spanish or English subtitles. Each film may be entered only once, in a single section.
ENTRY
Only through Festhome. The festival charges no submission fee; Festhome charges the entrant its own service fee.
SELECTION AND AWARDS
A committee appointed by the festival direction reviews all entries and decides the official selection. The awards are decided by a jury separate from the committee. Both decisions are final. All entrants are notified.
IF YOUR FILM IS SELECTED
The rights holder confirms participation in writing by 1 February 2027; once confirmed, the film cannot be withdrawn from the programme. Digital screening file due by 15 February 2027, with Spanish subtitles; if it does not arrive, the festival may remove the film from the programme. Two screenings at festival venues, and a third if demand calls for it. The festival pays no screening fee to rights holders for the selected films; the awards are separate from this.
