Festival start: 09 May 2026      Festival end: 16 May 2026

The sample of school short films of the La Almunia Film Festival is a national short film competition that hosts works made in Early Childhood, Primary and Special Education Centers, Secondary and High School Educational Centers.

Four prizes will be awarded. One in each of the two categories at the regional level and one in each category at the national level. The prizes will consist of 300 euros and a certificate.

The national prizes are sponsored by the 'Manuel Giménez Abad' Foundation and the regional prizes by the 'Caja Rural de Aragón' Foundation. They will be awarded to the best short films made by students from non-university schools which, in the opinion of the jury, have as their essential content the dissemination of values within the curriculum and seek to promote culture through images. The author or authors of the work must add to the
documentation a certificate issued by the secretary's office certifying that the participants are enrolled at the corresponding centre on the date of submission of the short film.

The jury will be made up of members of the Florián Rey Association and reserves the right to declare any of the prizes void.

To collect the prizes, it will be essential to attend the closing gala of the Festival or to send a person to represent the author of the winning work. The
organisation will cover the accommodation and meals of one teacher and two participants. The prizes will expire after three months.

National short films produced by non-university educational centers after January 1, 2024, may be submitted to the showcase. The short films may deal with any subject and must be created exclusively by members of the educational community of the participating schools. Their duration must not exceed 15 minutes, including the credits. Short films that were submitted to previous editions of FESCILA in the same category are not eligible to participate.

The submission period begins on November 2, 2025, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on February 25, 2026.

The submitted works will become part of the Association’s video library and may be used for educational and cultural purposes on a non-profit basis, always with the prior consent of their authors.

Each educational center may submit a maximum of three short films.

Works must be submitted through the online film submission and registration platform Festhome, at http://www.festhome.com

. All required fields on the platform must be completed.
If selected, the organization may request a certificate issued by the school’s administration verifying that the students involved in the short film were enrolled at the time of filming.

The organizing Association will select, from among all submitted short films, the best works that will become finalists and compete for the awards.

The following categories and areas are established:

ARAGONESE SHORT FILMS:

▪ Early Childhood, Primary, and Special Education Centers.
▪ Secondary and High School Educational Centers.

NATIONAL SHORT FILMS:

▪ Early Childhood, Primary, and Special Education Centers.
▪ Secondary and High School Educational Centers.
