The International Festival of the Mediterranean Cinema of Tetouan holds its 25rd edition from March 23th to 30th, 2019 in Tetouan, Morocco.
Artistic and cultural event, the festival is pursuing the following aims:
• To promote the knowledge and the distribution of the cinematographic productions of the two shores of the Mediterranean.
• To encourage and to promote the exchanges between the Mediterranean filmmakers.
Cash Prizes: 23,000€
The Jury awards the following prizes:
-Feature-length competition: 9 prizes will reward the competing films of the two sections.

The Grand Prize of the city of Tetouan 70 000,00 dhs
Mohamed Reggab prize, special Jury 30 000,00 dhs
Azzedine Meddour prize for the first work 25 000, 00 dhs
Best male actor prize 15 000.00 dh
Best actress prize 15 000.00 dhs
Musthapha Mesnaoui prize, critic’s prize 20 000.00 dhs
-Documentary
Grand prize of the city of Tetouan 40 000, 00 DH
Special Jury prize 20 000, 00 DH
First work prize 15 000, 00 DH
The final list will be published at the latest by the beginning of March.
ARTICLE 1 :
The festival is organized by the International Festival of the Mediterranean cinema of Tetouan’s foundation.
ARTICLE 2:
The official program contains the following sections:
• Feature-length, fiction and documentary films competition.
• Special sessions.
• Tributes
• Guest of the Mediterranean
• Retrospective.
• School films
• Schools’ program
• International symposium
ARTICLE 3 :
The films participating in the competitions (full-length and documentaries), special sessions, retrospectives should be in a DCP support.
ARTICLE 4 :
The films that can participate in the competition should be achieved after march 2016 and should not have been commercially distributed in Morocco, with the exception of the Moroccan films.
ARTICLE 5 :
The permanent secretary of the festival is the only responsible of the selection of the films participating in the competition and the other sections.
ARTICLE 6 :
The films that are presented in the festival (Competition and other sections) must be in an original version and subtitled in French. If the original version of the film is French, it must be subtitled in English.
ARTICLE 7:
The admission form as well as a DVD copy or a Vimeo link of the proposed film should be sent to the festival at the latest by January 30, 2018.Those copies will be kept in the festival archives. The request should include:
• A technical file of the movie.
• A picture of the director
• A picture of the film.
• All useful additional details
ARTICLE 8 :
The jury shall consist of international figures who are very reputed in the fields of cinema and arts. The persons, participating in the production and the broadcasting of a film that is selected for the competition, cannot be part of the jury.
ARTICLE 9:
The Jury awards the following prizes:

ARTICLE 10:
A tie prize will not be awarded.
ARTICLE 1 :
The copies of the selected movies should be sent to the Festival and enclosed with a complete documentation (Press file, pictures, posters of every format) at the latest by March 1st, 2018.The foreign films are submitted to the regime of temporary admission.
ARTICLE 12:
The transport fees of participating films shall be borne by the festival.
ARTICLE 13 :
The Festival insures copies of the films as soon as the reception. Liability of the festival shall terminate as soon as the resending of the films. In case of loss, the liability of the festival is engaged only within the limit of the indicated value by the producer on the admission form. In case of damage, the producer should send a certified invoice from a laboratory, within a time limit not exceeding one month after receiving the copy of the film.
ARTICLE 14:
The permanent secretary assumes the responsibility of ruling on the questions that are not established by this regulation.
ARTICLE 15:
This regulation is drafted in Arabic. It is translated into French, English and Spanish.
The Arabic version shall form the basis for any litigation.
