For more than a decade, community film festivals have emerged in Colombia, as scenarios that have made possible the exhibition of images and the meeting of different actors linked to community, local and independent cinema.
With this objective in 2016, the Commune Film Festival 6 (FECICO 6) was born in the city of Medellín, which is recognized as a neighborhood festival that seeks to offer the population meetings around independent, non-commercial and community cinema, mainly from Latin America; in order to generate reflections and bets for the transformation of social, cultural and political realities.
Amagi is the annual invitation that the FECICO6 expands to all the territories of the world, mainly in Latin America (Abya Yala Aframerindia) that has the intention of promoting and disseminating productions of groups, organizations and people who find in the audiovisual a possibility to express their disagreements and proposals for social, political, cultural and creative transformation. The exhibition of the platform will be within the framework of the VII version of the Comuna 6 Film Festival, which will take place from November 11 to December 3, 2022.
1. Registration will be open from August 5 to September 20, 2022 and only the works will be received through the Festhome platform.
2.It is important to highlight that the works presented will go through a process of collective curatorship, in charge of a team of professionals and film lovers.
3.The platform will recognize all the selected works, taking into account that our commitment is not to promote competition in the sector, but rather to consolidate a broadcasting scenario based on solidarity, recognition and the audiovisual fabric between territories. .
4. All the information requested at the time of registration must be filled out and the copy of the work must be uploaded according to the parameters of the platform.
5. It is important to keep in mind that the works presented must not be displayed publicly on the internet. However, they may be works that have already been premiered at other exhibitions and/or festivals.
6. In the process of selection, curatorship and shows the works that are not spoken in Spanish must have subtitles in this language.
7. The registered works will be part of a selection process and collective curatorship by the FECICO6 team. The organization of the festival will determine the scenarios and exhibition times of the selected short films.
8. In the event that the work is selected, a letter (agreement) must be provided that certifies that it has the exhibition rights and where it authorizes the festival organization to exhibit it. Likewise, you must provide the poster or promotional image for the dissemination of the work through digital media.
9. Any type of legal implication, particularly due to copyright claims, will fall on those responsible for the work that have made the registration.
