Festival start: 21 June 2023      Festival end: 24 June 2023

We are a platform for the exchange of ideas between young filmmakers and seasoned members of the film industry. A source of energy to promote the exhibition, learning and development of the film industry in the southern region of Veracruz.

In all categories: $ 1000 pesos in cash or its equivalent in dollars.

Audience Award for the short film with the most views in the Virtual Room. Digital recognition.
A certificate of participation in digital format will be granted to all registered works that request it.

1. Only short films produced between January 1, 2020 and until the closing date of the call may be registered.

2. There are no restrictions regarding the recording format, nor regarding the number of materials registered per filmmaker, but an individual registration procedure must be carried out for each work.

3. Short films that are not spoken in Spanish must have subtitles in that language.

4. Once the work is registered and selected, it cannot be withdrawn from the official program of the Oro Negro Film Festival.

5. By registering his short film, the director authorizes the Oro Negro Film Festival to exhibit the works during the contest on the dates of the event, both in person and in its virtual room, in addition to being able to include fragments in promotional material; as well as to be screened in other non-profit forums or film shows.

6. The directors of the registered short films must be responsible for the authorship of their work, assuming that the short film has the proper copyright. In the event of any violation, it will be disqualified from the contest and the Oro Negro Film Festival will be exempt from any responsibility.

7. Winning short films or short films exhibited at other festivals or film shows may be entered.

8. Some category may be declared void in the event that an adequate number of short films registered in said section is not reached. For this purpose, the filmmakers will be notified and the registration fees after the Festival will be returned or they will be taken as registration for the next edition of the contest.

9. The Organizing Committee will announce the order, place, times and dates of exhibition of the selected short films in advance to the participants.

10. What is not provided for in this call is for the consideration of the organizing committee and its decision will be final.
