Festival start: 19 May 2026      Festival end: 24 May 2026

Engativá is the third most populous locality in Bogotá; however, it is one of the least developed in terms of culture and cinema. There is talk of the cultural movements in Bosa, Kennedy, Ciudad Bolívar, and Suba, but Engativá is not mentioned. We are organizing this event to put the locality on the national and international map, with a large-scale event and outstanding films from around the world. Join us in making Engativá the epicenter of cinema in Bogotá and turning the Engativá International Film Festival into one of the country's most important film events.

The ENGATIVÁ INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is a non-competitive event, and no screening fees are paid.

1. DATE AND LOCATION OF THE FESTIVAL: June 9–14, 2026, in Bogotá, Colombia.

2. SUBMISSION PERIOD: From August 13, 2025, to March 31, 2026. The period will be divided into three deadlines: Early deadline (August 13–31, 2025), Regular deadline (September 1, 2025 – March 10, 2026), and Extended deadline (March 10–31, 2026).

3. OFFICIAL SELECTION NOTIFICATION & FESTIVAL LAUNCH: Selected films will be notified via email on April 15, 2026. The Festival Launch and press announcement of the Official Selection will take place in April 2026, along with the presentation of allies, sponsors, screening venues, partners, official image, trailer, and jury members.
