The International Film Festival of Leon IFFOL, invites all filmmakers to participate in the IFFOL Official Call 2024 from April 1 to August 05 of this year, being able to apply with fiction, non-fiction or animation feature film, short film or short documentary to be part of the 10th Consecutive Edition to be held between October 30 to November 03 of this year. Those selected may be part of the three competitive sections of the festival: International Talent, Local Talent and University Talent.

FICL statuette only for the winner of each category.

1. Teasers, trailers, and/or music videos are not eligible.

2. Genre, Theme, and Classification

a) Material of any cinematic genre, including animation, will be accepted for all categories.

b) The theme is open.

c) Only material with classifications A, AA, B, and B15 will be accepted.

d) No material containing political propaganda or that of political and social movements will be accepted.

e) In the case of animation, the work must include at least one Mexican talent in each of the three stages of production.

3. Language and Subtitles

a) Material in any language, dialect, or tongue will be accepted, as long as subtitles in English and Spanish are provided.

b) Subtitles must be submitted along with the material in SRT or WEBVTT format.

c) For material with audio in a foreign language (not Spanish), subtitles in both English and Spanish are required.

d) For material with audio in Spanish, English subtitles are required.

4. Format

a) Any cinematic format may participate, as long as it is higher than 1080p (Full HD).

b) Material recorded with professional and/or semi-professional cameras will be accepted.

c) Material made with smartphones will not be accepted.

5. Production Dates

a) Any material produced or completed after January 1, 2024, may participate.
