CINEFAB International Independent Film Festival – Second Edition (2026)

The CINEFAB Film Festival celebrates its second edition as a space dedicated to independent cinema and emerging audiovisual voices. Created with the purpose of supporting new productions, the festival aims to provide a professional, accessible, and welcoming platform for filmmakers who wish to share their work with an audience interested in authentic and creative storytelling.

CINEFAB is a growing festival focused on creating real exhibition and visibility opportunities for short films, feature films, and independent projects from different parts of the world. We are committed to a carefully curated selection process and to fostering an environment that encourages meaningful exchange among creators.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE INDEPENDENT FILM COMPETITION

1. ORGANIZER
The Independent Film Competition (hereinafter, the “Competition”) is organized by CINEFAB, with registered address at Humahuaca 4027, CABA, Buenos Aires, Argentina (hereinafter, the “Organizer”).

2. PURPOSE
The purpose of the Competition is to promote the creation and dissemination of international independent cinema.

3. CATEGORIES
The Competition is divided into the following categories:

Short Films: up to 30 minutes in length.

Feature Films: over 30 minutes in length.

Documentaries: any length.

4. AWARDS
The following awards will be granted:

Best Short Film

Best Feature Film

Best Documentary

Best Leading Actor

Best Leading Actress

Best Supporting Actor

Best Supporting Actress

Best Screenplay

Best Director

5. PARTICIPANTS
All filmmakers who are of legal age may participate in the Competition.

6. WORKS
The works submitted to the Competition must meet the following requirements:

Be original.

Be in Spanish or subtitled in Spanish.

Have adequate image and sound quality.

7. REGISTRATION
Registration for the Competition is carried out through this platform.

8. REGISTRATION PERIOD
The registration period for the Competition runs from February 17, 2026, to March 31, 2026.

9. SELECTION OF WORKS
A jury composed of recognized professionals from the independent film industry will select the finalist works of the Competition.

10. AWARD CEREMONY
The award ceremony will take place on Monday, April 6, at Complejo Teatral Itaca.

11. RIGHTS GRANT
Participants grant the Organizer, free of charge and on a non-exclusive basis, the rights of reproduction and public communication of their works for the purpose of promoting the Competition and independent cinema.

12. ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS
Participation in the Competition implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

13. JURISDICTION
For any dispute that may arise in connection with the Competition, jurisdiction shall lie with the ordinary courts of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.



  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
