Le festival International du film d’Al Hoceima est une histoire d’amour à trois entre une ville au début du printemps, un public curieux et enthousiaste, et des films venus du monde entier.

Le festival International du film d’Al Hoceima est l’un des rendez-vous pionniers au Maroc dans la découverte des cinématographies d’Asie, d’Amérique latine, d’Afrique et d’Europe de l’est.

Prévu pour chaque année, le festival est un espace de rencontres et de dialogue entre les cinéphiles de toutes les cultures et origines amateurs de classiques comme de nouveautés, d’ouvrages d’auteurs comme de productions populaires.

Le festival prévoit aussi des hommages, à des réalisateurs ou à des acteurs invités, en plus de leurs films de fiction, sont présentés, leurs documentaires, leurs long-métrages, les films qu’ils ont réalisé pour la télévision et aussi les films dans lesquels ils ont joué, qu’ils ont produit, si c’est le cas.

le Festival International du Film d’Al Hoceima, a l’honneur de compter sur le soutien du Centre Cinématographique Marocain, qui prend en charge 2 caravanes de diffusion ainsi que les visas des films.

Regulations of the ALHOCEIMA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL


Article 1: The Al Hoceima International Film Festival aims to highlight any cinematographic artistic contribution capable of giving the 7th art and the city of Al Hoceima the image they deserve. The festival aims to promote cinematographic culture in Morocco and Africa by becoming a meeting point between filmmakers from around the world.

Article 2: The third edition of the Al Hoceima International Film Festival will take place in El Hoceima from April 04 to 09, 2023

Article 3: The program of this edition includes an official competition open to feature films, documentaries and fiction, and Amazigh short films, special screening sessions, tributes and testimonies, round tables relating to the cinematographic sector and to the region of Al Hoceima.

Article 5: All candidate films for the official competition must be presented in their original version, subtitled in French and/or English and on DCP or Blue Ray media.

Article 6: The deadline for submitting candidate films for the official selection is April 15, 2023. Date on which the Festival Secretariat must receive the duly completed and signed registration form, a synopsis of the film either, in Arabic, in French or in English, a photo of the director, his biography and film photos (2 at least).

Article 7: The final copy of the selected film must reach the Secretariat of the
Festival before April 15, 2023 accompanied by complete documentation and promotional material (posters of different formats, photos, press-book, etc.)

Article 8: The shipping costs of the film participating in the official competition, the costs of return, storage and insurance of copies of films from their reception until their reshipment are the responsibility of the Festival.

Article 9: All films from abroad are subject to the temporary admission regime.

Article 10: The organizers appoint an international jury composed of seven (7) members for the fiction film competition, and five (5) members for the documentary film competition to award, after deliberations, the festival prizes as they are set out in Article 11.
