FICCUE - Festival Internacional de cine de comedia en Cuenca (2)

FICCUE was born from the need to promote local, national and international cinema in Cuenca and its province of a genre as yet unexploited as comedy. Addressing this genre as the exclusive objective of this festival makes it unique both on a national and international scene, making Cuenca the headquarters of comedy cinema.

Below you will see the rules and terms you agree to when submitting films, videos and other materials to our festival.

registrations

1.1 FICCUE accepts Spanish and foreign films with Spanish and english subtitles, or without subtitles if the language spoken in the film is Spanish or english;

1.2 All submitted films are seen by the jury and those responsible for FICCUE

1.3 Registration fees must be paid through our registration platforms at the time of submission and are non-refundable.

1.4 Multiple entries from the same sender are accepted. An entry and entry fee must accompany each film;

1.5 Films cannot be registered more than once, in case they have not been selected in previous editions.

1.6 Films must be submitted via our submission platforms and must be available for viewing via these platforms. We will not receive projects that are submitted in a way other than that mentioned.

1.7 We accept works from any country in the world produced after January 1, 2021

1.8 FICCUE does not send exemptions, discount vouchers or free registrations.


Categories

2.1 All films must be sent in digital format in the correct category according to their duration:
• Short film (fiction, experimental): up to 25 minutes.
• Short-Documentary: up to 30 minutes.
• Short-Animation: up to 30 minutes.
• Feature film: from 60 minutes.
• Documentary Feature Film: from 60 minutes.

• Best Comedy Direction (All submitted films compete in this category at no additional charge)
• Best Comedy Actor (All films submitted compete in this category at no additional charge)
• Best Comedy Actress (All films submitted compete in this category at no additional charge)

Official Selection • awards

3.1 Each edition, a series of films from each category will be selected for the competition;

3.2 Our team will choose, at its discretion (among the selected Short Films, Short-animation), the works to be screened during the festival week;

3.3 In February, the jury will select the winners of each category that will be screened at the annual event in Cuenca - Spain.

3.4 All the winning films will receive the FICCUE Trophy and mention;

3.5 Submission does not guarantee your film as an official FICCUE selection and selection does not guarantee your film as a winner;

3.6 The decision of the FICCUE selection committee and the juries are final, the result of the registrations will be disclosed through our registration platforms and it is the responsibility of the sender to monitor the status of their registration;

3.7 FICCUE does not offer feedback on the submitted films or on the jury's decision.

Responsibility

4.1 FICCUE does not publish films on its website or social networks;

4.2 FICCUE may use images of its films, the trailer and the material in the press pack for promotional purposes on its website or on social networks and adapt them to its visual identity;

4.3 FICCUE does not pay fees, travel costs or screening rights;

4.4 Releases for all content, including but not limited to music and talent, must be obtained by the filmmaker;

4.5 FICCUE is not responsible for any copyright infringement or unauthorized use;

4.6 By submitting a film, you agree to indemnify and hold FICCUE harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages and expenses (including, but not limited to, attorneys' fees and court costs) in which you may incur reason for any claims related to copyrights, trademarks, credits, publicity, detection and loss or damage of the projection videos sent;

4.7 FICCUE reserves the right to make changes to the festival settings without prior notice if necessary.Las películas enviadas en la categoría incorrecta se descalifican automáticamente;



disqualification

5.1 Films submitted in the wrong category are automatically disqualified;

5.2 Failure to comply with the eligibility requirements or the sending of materials requested by the organization within the term will lead to disqualification in any phase of the contest (registration, selection or award);

5.3 FICCUE may disqualify a selected film and delete the promoted content on its website and social networks if the registered film is involved in legal disputes or any situation that diminishes the credibility of the festival;

5.4 Disqualification will not entitle the submitter to a refund of the entry fee;

5.5 FICCUE does not refund the registration fee if one decides to withdraw their film from the festival.


Acceptance of the bases.

6.1 Participation in the FICCUE • CUENCA INTERNATIONAL COMEDY FILM FESTIVAL implies acceptance of these rules: up to 30 minutes.
• Short-Animation: up to 30 minutes.
• Feature film: +60 minutes.
• Documentary Feature Film: +60 minutes.
