The Hallnaywood Festival is a must-attend cinematic event dedicated to short films, held annually in Aulnay-sous-Bois. This festival showcases the creativity of both emerging and established filmmakers from around the world, offering the audience a diverse selection of short films across all genres.
In addition to screenings, Hallnaywood hosts meetings and discussions with industry experts, providing a valuable opportunity for learning and networking. Active on social media, the festival also allows fans to stay updated on the latest news and behind-the-scenes content throughout the year.
With its commitment to promoting diversity and talent, the Hallnaywood Festival has established itself as a key event for short films in France.

Article 1: The Organizer

Article 2: Conditions of Participation
• Film duration: up to 20 minutes (including credits) for all categories except the "Very Short" category (up to 3 minutes).
• Film production date: between 2023 and 2025.
• The mandatory projection format is DCP.
• Non-French language works must be provided with French subtitles.
• Not accepted: Advertising or institutional films, audiovisual productions, music videos,
pornographic, racist, and discriminatory films...
Article 3: Registration
REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
The registration deadline on the platforms is set for June 21, 2025, inclusive.
• A registration form must be filled out via the website: www.hallnaywood.fr
The following documents must be attached to the form:
• The registration form accompanied by the completed and signed broadcasting authorization.
• At least 1 photo of the film (color or black and white according to the film in landscape format, no poster or photo of the film crew) that can be used on any medium.
• 1 photo of the director(s).
The rights holders guarantee that they have all the necessary authorizations from the coproducers, authors, directors, actors, and in general from all persons involved in the film,
allowing them to register the film and comply with this regulation.
Article 4: Selection
A commission will be responsible for selecting the films to participate in the Final. The commission will be composed of members of the organizing structures. It will select films
whose quality (image and sound) allows public screening; the decision will be final.
The selected productions will be communicated to the directors or producers by email no later than August 15, 2025.
The directors and/or producers of the selected films undertake to provide, within the week following the announcement of their selection:
• The telephone, postal, and email addresses of the production and the directors.
• 2 HD photos of the film.
• An HD portrait of the director(s) for publication in the Festival's communication.
• 2 30-second excerpts of the film for festival promotion and possibly for the opening and/or closing ceremony.
Transportation, accommodation, and meals expenses are the responsibility of each participant.
Article 5: Jury
The jury will consist of cinema industry professionals and short film enthusiasts.
Article 6: Awards (subject to subsequent modifications depending on circumstances)During the final, the prizes will be awarded. The jury's decision is final.
There are six awards given during the HALLNAYWOOD festival:
• Jury Prize for Best Film
• Jury Prize for Best Foreign Film
• Best Actor Award
• Audience Award
• Jury's Favorite Award
• Jury Prize for Best "Very Short" Film
• The GREEN production price
Additional prizes and awards may be given depending on circumstances. The amount of prizes may be modified before the awards ceremony of the 2025 edition without prior
notice.
The winners and distributors undertake to use the prize labels for their advertising and in the film credits as stated in the Festival's Awards List.
Article 7: Rights
For the duration of the festival, the rights holders of the selected films agree gratuitously to
the public screening of their work, as well as the reproduction and possible distribution of
photographs or excerpts for publication in the festival's publications. The received films will not be returned to their owners and will be kept in the festival's archives.
Article 8: Communication
Regarding the promotion and communication surrounding the eighth edition of the HALLNAYWOOD Festival, it is free to disseminate, without limitation in duration and
without compensation, the names and photos of participants and any excerpts from selected films, as well as information about them, through various written or electronic press media, television, radio, internet, and any electronic means of public communication.
Article 9: Responsibility
You guarantee to the Keep Smile association that you hold or have acquired all the rights and authorizations necessary for the film's participation in the national and international
competition and for the uses granted to the Keep Smile association under this regulation, including but not limited to, the rights relating to images, music, filming locations,
scenarios, rights of various authors, directors, performing artists, but also the right to use, quote and reproduce the photographs, names, surnames, and pseudonyms of the various
participants. In this respect, you indemnify the Keep Smile association against any disturbance, claim, eviction, or action of any third party on any grounds whatsoever. You
will bear any damages and expenses, including those related to any litigation (including prelitigation), judicial, administrative or criminal proceedings (including, without limitation, fees and legal expenses, disbursements, expertise fees, etc.) and those related to any enforcement measure, which the Keep Smile association may have to pay as a result of a judicial decision with provisional execution, or a settlement signed with the plaintiff. If necessary, it is recalled that the failure to hold all the rights and authorizations necessary for the film's participation in the national, international competition, and for the uses granted
to the Keep Smile association as referred to in this article, subjects you to criminal and civil penalties provided by law. Moreover, non-compliance with this clause may result in your
exclusion from the competition.
Article 10: Organizer's Responsibility
The Keep Smile association & Festival Hallnaywood reserves the right to use the information collected on the registration forms in accordance with the provisions of Law 78.17 of January 6, 1978. In accordance with the Data Protection Act, each participant has a right of access and rectification concerning only the personal data concerning him/her,
which he/she may exercise by contacting the following email address:

The organizers cannot be held responsible in case of loss or deterioration of an audiovisual document.
The Festival Hallnaywood declines all responsibility in case of poor reception or nonreception of registration forms and films, for any reason whatsoever.
Article 11: Modification/Cancellation
The Keep Smile association & the HALLNAYWOOD Festival reserves the right to shorten, modify, cancel the Festival, or modify its content if exceptional circumstances or circumstances beyond its control require it and/or to ensure safety, fairness, integrity, or the smooth running of the festival. Its liability cannot be incurred thereby. No compensation of
any kind will be granted to participants.
Article 12: Conditions
Registration for the HALLNAYWOOD Festival implies full and entire adherence to these regulations.
