Festival start: 13 September 2025      Festival end: 17 September 2025

Cinema not only tells stories, it transports cultures, traditions, and emotions. It is a window to unknown worlds, an invitation to explore realities that, although distant, resonate in the depths of our humanity.

Today, we invite you to open that window and immerse yourself in a unique cinematic experience: the Honduran Film Festival.

For the first time in this space, we bring a visual journey that captures the essence of Honduras through the eyes of its most daring and talented filmmakers. From the majestic natural landscapes to the vibrant stories of its people, this exhibition is a tribute to the art, identity, and passion of a country that, although small in size, is immense in creativity and expression.

The Honduran Film Showcase - Lempira is a non-competitive event designed exclusively for the dissemination and appreciation of Honduran cinematic talent. Our goal is to provide a platform where Honduran filmmakers can share their stories, showcase their work, and connect with new audiences.

No competitive awards or recognitions are given, as the festival focuses on showcasing and celebrating Honduran cinema as a cultural and artistic expression. We believe that each projected work is valuable in its own right and deserves to be appreciated without the pressure of competition.

This festival is a space for encounter, learning, and exchange, where cinema becomes a bridge for dialogue and connection between cultures.

To ensure a seamless experience and quality programming, filmmakers wishing to submit their films must comply with the following rules:

1. Eligibility

The call is open exclusively to Honduran filmmakers or productions in which Hondurans participate in key roles (direction, scriptwriting, production, etc.).

Short and feature films of any genre (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, etc.) are accepted.

Productions must have been completed within the last 5 years.

2. Format and Submission

Files must be submitted in high-quality formats, preferably .MP4 or .MOV with H.264 codec.

Minimum resolution required: 1920x1080 (Full HD).

If the film's original language is not Spanish, it must include Spanish or english subtitles and .srt files.

3. Rights and Permissions

Filmmakers must own all exhibition rights to their work, including music, images, and third-party materials.

By submitting their film, participants authorize its screening within the framework of the festival, for non-commercial purposes.

4. Selection Process

The curatorship of the festival will be in charge of the organizing team, which will evaluate each work based on its artistic quality, narrative, and cultural relevance.
Selected filmmakers will be notified in advance and must provide promotional materials (posters, trailers, press images) for the event's publicity.

5. Exhibition and Participation

The festival will take place in a predetermined space, with established dates.

Selected directors and production teams are invited to participate in Q&A sessions, interviews, and other activities related to the festival. The festival is not responsible for any costs for the participation of any filmmaker.

The Honduran Film Festival is a unique opportunity to share stories, strengthen the country's cinematic identity, and connect with new audiences. We look forward to your film!
