Festival start: 09 December 2023      Festival end: 16 December 2023

The International Art Film Festival (IAFFEST) focuses on appreciating the endeavours of filmmakers through awards and rewards to increase the exposure of existing productions and the quality of future films.

Our community is made up of creative artists who want to shape and change the narrative of filmmaking globally. This year, the theme of the festival is “This is entertainment”.

We are giving filmmakers and other stakeholders who would participate in the festival an opportunity to express their creative sides. This could be in the form of personal experiences, lessons, opportunities, rejections and successes achieved in their respective fields.

All filmmakers who submitted their films stand a chance of winning many of our numerous gifts items. IAFF gives selected films a customized laurel and certificate of participation. Category winners are awarded and rewarded accordingly.

All award winners are credited on IMDb and receive a laurel and verifiable certificate of achievement.

The categories for submission are (A) Feature films (B) Short films (C) Documentary films (D) Animation films (E) Experimental films (F) Poetry (G) Student shorts (H) Comedy

Selection Committee
IAFF will appoint a selection and screening committee to review submitted films.
The committee will decide on the official selections to enter the competition categories.
IAFF will solely appoint a jury including members of the international film community to decide on winners for each of the categories in the competition.

- Deadlines: entries must be submitted before September, 30 2023. Any submission and/or material received after the deadline will not be accepted.

- Fees: all fees are non-refundable.

- Subtitles: any Foreign film that is not in English must have English subtitles.

- Works in progress: it is NOT acceptable to submit a working copy of a film. ‘Work-in-progress’ entries are not allowed. IAFF only accepts the final version of films.

- By submitting your movie, you authorize IAFFEST to use, distribute and share the film poster, trailer, synopsis and movie stills via our social media platforms.

- Storage and screening of submissions: IAFFEST retains the right to keep all submissions as well as associated materials for its use. IAFFEST reserves the right to transfer submissions to a master hard drive digital library, building a digital reference archive (“IAFF Permanent Digital Library”). IAFFEST will not theatrically screen any submissions for commercial purposes without the express written consent of the appropriate rights holder(s).

- Selection and notification: the selection committee will at its own discretion select nominees for each category. ONLY the selected films will receive an official selection notification. IAFFEST will also advise you of further requirements and the next steps in said correspondence. If a film has NOT been selected, the announcement of the final selection will serve as notice. For the avoidance of doubt, IAFF shall not comment on the grounds of not selecting a film.

- Additional terms: For the avoidance of doubt, once a film is selected, the submitter will not be able to withdraw the entry.
