RULES AND TERMS

Please read the following rules and guidelines carefully before submitting your project to the Lagos Film Festival. By submitting, you agree to comply with all terms outlined below.


Categories & Eligibility

Short Films: Maximum runtime of 60 minutes (including credits). All genres accepted.

Short Scripts: Maximum length of 30 pages.

Feature Films: Runtime of more than 60 minutes. All genres accepted.

Feature Scripts: Length of more than 30 pages.


Language & Subtitle Requirements

Accepted Languages: We accept submissions in all languages from anywhere in the world.

Subtitle Requirement: Any film whose main dialogue is not in English must include hardcoded or selectable English subtitles. Non-English scripts must be submitted alongside an official English translation.


Submission Guidelines

Project Completion: Works of all completion years are welcome.

Multiple Submissions: Filmmakers may submit more than one project; however, a separate entry fee and submission form must be completed for each title.

Promotional Opt-In: All submitted projects are eligible for our Guaranteed Social Media Spotlight (featuring poster, synopsis, and credits). By submitting, you grant the festival permission to use provided promotional materials across our official channels.

Rights & Authorizations: The submitter holds all necessary rights, licenses, and clearances for music, footage, and intellectual property included in the project.


Selection & Rights

Official Selection: Selected filmmakers will be notified via email prior to the event.

Screening Rights: By being selected, you grant the festival the right to screen your film publicly during the event.

Fees: Entry fees are non-refundable once the submission process is complete.









  Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
