Lozova International Film Festival was created with a mission to create conditions for international and inter-regional contacts in the spirit of independent film production, to establish partnerships in the implementation of joint projects, including inter-regional and international levels.
We strive for giving access to contemporary feature lenght and short films from all over the world to Ukrainian viewers so that they can enjoy the work of the leading curators in the industry, get acquainted with the best cinema creations worldwide and in Ukraine.
Moreover, we understand that there is no future without education. Therefore, informal education is one of the festival’s activities and aims to encourage potential filmmakers to expand their knowledge through adopting practices and communication with foreign colleagues

We invite feature films with a minimum duration of 60 minutes and short films with a duration of up to 30 minutes that have been finished after January 1th 2019 and consider to pertain to one of the following categories: fiction, documentary, animation, or experimental.
Every film which is not originally in English must have English subtitles to be considered for the selection.
The directors of all films which have been selected for the official program of the Festival (either competitive or not) will be invited to Kharkiv, Lozova, covering the accommodation and transfer from/to an airport. Festival will be discussing the possibilities of covering the travel costs with every guest individually.
Films must be submitted by the director, producer, distributor, or any other official representative. A person, who submits the film, holds all necessary rights for the film to participate in the Festival. This person is also responsible to proceed with communications with a Festival.
