The Macass association promotes new perspectives on the region. The MAC fest together with the many cultural initiatives cultivates the film festival ‘Ammuina’.
‘Ammuina - noises coming from afar’ - is the perfect opportunity to get to know up-and-coming filmmakers, hot topics and unprecedented views dedicated to Innovation, Environment and Social issues.

The Fourth Edition of ‘Ammuina’ selects a maximum of 3 short films and the screening will be included in the programme of the MAC fest 2026 in Cava de' Tirreni.
There is no material prize within the festival.
Ammuina, as a space for dialogue and exchange of global visions, wants to recognise the value of authors by offering them visibility through the screening of their works during the MAC fest.
- Short Film Duration
Short films must have a maximum duration of 10 minutes
- Themes
Participating short films must address at least one of the following themes
Social Themes: Human rights, diversity, inclusion, social justice and other issues affecting the well-being of people and communities.
Environmental Themes: Climate change, sustainability, biodiversity protection and solutions for a greener and more resilient future.
Innovation: Technological, scientific and creative advancement, with a focus on new technologies, innovative ways of generating art, including artificial intelligence (AI), which is transforming the cinematic and artistic landscape in general.
- General Requirements
Short films have no genre restrictions, as long as they comply with the stated themes and timeframe.
- Respect for Fundamental Values
We welcome applications from national and international short films that promote the values enshrined in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights: Human Dignity, Freedom, Democracy, Equality, Rule of Law and Human Rights. Particular attention will be paid to directors and crews from Southern Italy.
- Language
Short films must have English subtitles
- Modalities of Participation
Participation in the festival is open to all filmmakers who meet the above-mentioned requirements.
