Madeira Curtas - Short Films Contest (Madeira Island) ()

Madeira Curtas (MC), is organized by the Regional Government of Madeira, through the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology. The contest is operated by the Regional Education Directorate, through the Educamedia Program, of the Division of Technologies and Innovative Environments and Learning.

The MC intends to recognize and reward the work done in the field of short video, thus positioning itself as an important tool in promoting the creation of audiovisual content, with an emphasis on the school community, but whose participation extends to anyone, regardless your profession, experience, nationality and place of residence.

O Madeira Curtas (MC), é organizado pelo Governo Regional da Madeira, através da Secretaria Regional de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia. O concurso é operacionalizado pela Direção Regional de Educação, através Programa Educamedia, da Divisão das Tecnologias e Ambientes Inovadores e Aprendizagem.

O MC tenciona reconhecer e premiar o trabalho realizado na área do vídeo de curta duração, posicionando-se assim como um instrumento importante na promoção da criação de conteúdos audiovisuais, com ênfase na comunidade escolar, mas cuja participação estende-se a qualquer pessoa, independentemente da sua profissão, experiência, nacionalidade e local de residência.

Trophies and diplomas will be awarded to winners in the following categories:

- Best image: attributed to the best work in terms of quality and image editing.
- Best sound: attributed to the short film with the best original soundtrack or best sound.
- Best representation: attributed to the best individual or collective representation work, including dialogues.
- Best wardrobe and props: attributed to the short film with the best wardrobe / props.
- Best animation short film: attributed to the short film that presented the best short film made, in whole or in part with the techniques of digital animation, claymation, stop motion, traditional animation, cutout animation, puppet animation, etc.
- Best school short film: the short film that stood out the most, made in a school / institutional context, with a strong presence of members of the educational / institutional community (students, employees, parents ...) and whose concept is closely related to social causes and / or educational themes.
- Best short film: attributed to the short film that, in general, stood out the most.

Serão atribuídos troféus e diplomas aos vencedores das seguintes categorias:

- Melhor imagem: atribuído ao melhor trabalho em termos de qualidade e edição de imagem.
- Melhor som: atribuído à curta-metragem com melhor banda sonora original ou melhor som.
- Melhor representação: atribuído ao melhor trabalho de representação individual ou coletivo, incluindo diálogos.
- Melhor guarda-roupa e adereços: atribuído à curta-metragem com o melhor guarda-roupa/adereços.
- Melhor curta-metragem de animação: atribuído à curta metragem que apresentou a melhor curta-metragem realizada, de forma total ou parcial com as técnicas de animação digital, claymation, stop motion, animação tradicional, animação de recortes, animação de fantoches, etc.
- Melhor curta-metragem escolar: a curta-metragem que mais se destacou, realizada em contexto escolar/institucional, com uma forte presença dos membros da comunidade educativa/institucional (alunos, funcionários, pais...) e cujo conceito esteja intimamente relacionado com causas sociais e/ou temas educativos.
- Melhor curta-metragem: atribuído à curta-metragem que, no geral, mais se destacou.

The short film must have a maximum duration of 3 minutes, including the time allocated for information regarding its realization.

The final credits, mandatory inclusion and with a maximum of 10 seconds. No explicit public reference to the introduction or final credits is required.

The use of images and videos taken from the internet is not allowed. Participants must use unpublished video material, with the exception of images and logos provided by institutions.

The organization makes no distinction, for purposes of eligibility, between categories of production, any genres being accepted, such as documentaries, specification, fiction, animation, etc.

THEME
The theme of the 10th edition of the MC is "Celebrate Humanity", which the participants interpret freely.

A curta-metragem deverá ter a duração máxima de 3 minutos, incluindo o tempo destinado às informações respeitantes à sua realização.

Os créditos finais, de inclusão obrigatória e com um máximo de 10 segundos. Não é autorizada qualquer referência publicitária explícita na introdução ou créditos finais.

Não é permitida a utilização de imagens e vídeos retiradas da internet. Os participantes deverão utilizar material de vídeo inédito, com exceção de imagens e logótipos fornecidos por instituições.

A organização não faz distinção, para fins de elegibilidade, entre categorias de produção, sendo aceites quaisquer géneros, como documentários, entrevistas, ficção, animação, etc.

TEMA
O tema da 10ª edição do MC é "​Celebrar a Humanidade"​, que os participantes poderão interpretar de forma livre.
