Marbella International Film Festival brings together artisits and creators to present their talents to the commercial world of film professionals, financiers and distributers.

MIFF is the place for a film makers who want to achieve commercial success as well as displaying their artistic work.

Applicants are invited to submit their films and projects for
feature, documentary, and short films sections of the festival.

The AI & Digital section of 2026 Miff. Invites Content creators to present their digital creation to the industry decision makers and develop association and form co-production projects with film & Advertising and media.

Pitch your Vision section of 2026MIFF is an ideal platform for writers, and producers to pitch their projects to a panel of investors and co-producers and take part in the competition to have their projects developed.

Marbella in the southern coast of Spain is considered among the most exclusive cities in the world, thus a perfect location for the high calibre MIFF, conveniently placed for film makers looking to show case their work in the glamour and glitz of Marbella while networking with some of the hight net worth international individuals who call Marbella their homes.

DATES FOR 2025MIFF. 30th September to 5th October 2026.

1. The Board of Directors invites and selects the films which will be presented in the competition and for screening. Each film invited to be part of the official selection by the Board of Directors will receive a Certificate of Participation.

2. Only films that meet the following criteria may be chosen for invitation to the official selection:

2.1. Films that have been produced during the eighteen months preceding the festival.

2.2. If participating in the “Short Film” category, films should not exceed 30 minutes in length, including credits.

2.3. for shorter short section the max length is 5 min.

2.4. AI created content has no length time limitation.

3. Throughout the duration of the festival, none of the films invited may be shown outside the festival’s official theaters before its official screening.

4. Once a film has been selected it cannot be withdrawn from the festival program during the event.

5. All non-English speaking films must be presented in their original version with English subtitles. All subtitling expenses are to be met by the film’s producer.

6. English language films must be subtitled in Spanish for the final screened version ( This condition can be waived upon request of the film maker and subject to the board’s approval).

7. The Board of Directors selects all members of the jury for competition and screening. Each jury member will vote by a secret ballot. No person having taken part in the production or promotion of a film in competition may be on the jury.

8. The jury is obliged to award:

The best film in each category: Feature, Documentary, “Shorter Short”, Short. AI content created.

9. All films to be submitted for the official selection must be entered by 1st July 2026, deadline for shorter short films is 1st August 2026.
An entry form must be completed for all submissions via our website www.marbellafilmfestival.com/submissions prior to this date.

10. All films submitted must reach the Film Festival office by 14th August 2026. If copy of the film or a link to online version of the film is not received by this deadline it will not be submitted. This deadline is final.

11. The following will only be accepted for the submission process:

11.1. Online secure screener.

11.2. Please send your film once and in one format only.

11.3. Please note that the films submitted will not be returned.

11.4. N.B. It is possible to present a rough cut or in working progress of the film.

11.5. When filling out the entry form, please state if it is the final version, a rough cut or in working progress.

12. Complete documentation for each submitted film is to be made available to the Film Festival when required.

13. Submission fees:

13.1. Submissions are at reduced fee of £7-00 for shorts and AI Contents and £15-00 for features, for early bird calls up to 28th February 2026.

13.2. Standard submission fee of £15-00 for shorts and AI contents, £30-00 for features and documentaries, applicable from 1st March to 1st June 2026.

13.3. Late submissions fees of £40-00, for shorts and AI contents £60-00 for features and documentaries applicable from 1st June to 1st July 2026.

13.4. Extended deadline submission fee of £60-00 for shorts and AI contents £100-00 for features and documentaries, applicable from 1st July to 1st August 2026.

14. Marbella International Film Festival is organized by New World Trust, a non-profit organization that supports many different programs and initiatives within the industry.

15. If your film is selected you will be notified by 20th August 2026.

16. On being selected you must supply to us your DCP copy of your film work as a digital link well as digital copy of the film on hard disc/ dpc, by 1st September 2025.

17. You will be required to provide promotional materials such as posters and trailers of your film at your own expense, for the use during the festival.

18. Any supporting marketing and PR material available for the films selected must be supplied by the 1st of September 2026.

19. The Film Festival office can provide you with further details if your film is selected.

20. Any expenses for the shipping (for both import and export), screening and translation of films and DCP presented to the selection committee with a view to their possible selection, are to be met by the film’s producers or relevant body. All expenses for the transportation and insurance of prints are also the responsibility of their owner.

21. If your film is selected for screening at the festival, it is the requirement of the festival that you must attend the festival, at your own expense, during the festival (30th September to 5th October 2026), to promote and support your film, and collect any awards. The film maker is required to provide proof of attendance by means of providing travel documents or apply and pay for festival accreditation, prior to final screening selection.

22. The Film Festival office has the power to settle all cases not covered by the present rules and regulations.

23. Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of all the aforementioned regulations and respect of submission and screening conditions. Furthermore, by completing the initial online submission form (you/ your company) agree to the festival’s terms of the release as follows.

1) [You / The Company] hereby grant(s)the organizers of the festival
Permission to screen the film during the festival, and the festival’s world tour, and other associated promotional events. For the avoidance of doubt the location and timing of any screenings of the film shall be the sole decision of the organizers of the Film Festival.

2) [You / The Company] [have / has] obtained signed release forms in relation to copyright and all other rights now known from all the cast, crew and any freelance contributors who were involved in the making of the film.

3) The film contains no material which is obscene, libelous, or defamatory.

4) [You / The Company] [have / has] obtained the appropriate copyright clearances for all music used in the film (if required).

5) [You / The Company] will be solely responsible for all costs resulting from the submission of the film to the festival including but not limited to postage or insurance of the film, transport costs of the film to and from the festival and travel costs and expenses of your staff or any representatives of the film.

6) [You / The Company] will indemnify the organizers of the festival against all claims, demands, costs, damages, expenses (including legal fees), proceedings and losses resulting from the screening of the film at the festival or from claims by any third parties.

7) [You / A director of the Company] [have / has] read, understood, and agree[s] to be fully bound by the Rules and Regulations 2026 of the festival.

8) [You / The Company] understand[s] and agree[s] that any failure to follow and adhere to the Rules and Regulations 2026 of the festival will result in the disqualification of the film.

9) [You / The Company] hereby give[s] the organizers of the festival a non-exclusive license to use [your/ its] name, [photograph / logo], and likeness in connection with any and all publicity and promotional activities relating to the festival, and its promotional activities and events.

10) [You / The Company] understand[s] that the festival is not obliged to return the copy of the film that [you / the company] submitted to the Festival and confirm that [you / the company] [have / has] retained at least one other copy of the film.

11) [You / The Company] understand[s] that the organizers of the festival accept no liability for the loss or non-receipt of the film.

12) [You / The Company] understand[s] that there are no fees [due to you / it] for screening the film at the festival or for any other matters arising from the submission of the film to the Festival and accept that the organizers of the Festival are therefore under no obligation to pay you any sums.

13) [You / The Company] agree[s] to be bound by the decision of the judges of the festival whose decision will be final. [You / The Company] further understand[s] and agree[s] that the judges are not obliged to give any feedback to you regarding the film.

14) [You / The Company} confirm[s] and warrant [s]that [you are/it is] the author of the film and the sole and exclusive owner of all rights now known in the Film and [have /has] full and exclusive rights to submit the film to the festival. [You / The Company] further warrant [s] that the film is not under option, nor has it been purchased by any third party. [You / the Company] also warrant[s] that there is no current dispute as to the ownership of the film and that no rights or permissions are required from any third parties before the film can be screened at the festival.

15) [You / The Company] agree[s] that any legal dispute between [you / the company] and the organizers of the festival will be heard in the English courts according to the law of England and Wales.

You/ the Company confirm (s) and warrant(s) that you are/ it is the author of the Film and the sole and exclusive owner of all rights now known in the Film and have/ has full and exclusive rights to submit the Film to the Festival. You/ the Company further warrant(s) that the Film is not under option, nor has it been purchased by any third party. You/ the Company also warrant(s) that there is no current dispute as to the ownership of the Film and that no rights or permissions are required from any third parties before the Film can be screened at the festival.

15. You/ the Company agree (s) that any legal dispute between you/ the Company and the organizers of the festival will be heard in the English courts according to the law of England and Wales.

For Script project " Pitch your vision" the following terms apply
Initiative for Producers & Directors.

MIFF in association with New World Films, are offering producers and directors the opportunity to pitch their projects to a panel of investors and co-producers to take part in competition to have their projects developed.

Program includes:

1. The Pitch Your Vision Project www.newworld-films.com/pitch-your-vision invites delegates to attend workshops and panel discussions on.

1.1. Workshop on how to pitch your idea to lead to its development.

1.2. Pitch your project to the panel of producers/investors.

1.3. Submit your project to the “Pitch Your Vision “competition for the opportunity to have your project developed and produced.

2. Our own pitch is simple: Let’s make your vision visible to the world!

3. Send a brief résumé about yourself and your project, and if selected, you will be invited to attend the “Pitch Your Vision” section of the festival and pitch your project to the panel of industry professionals and investors during the 2026MIFF.

4. Projects short listed and nominated for the award would be announced at the glamorous Gala dinner awards ceremony.

5. Projects nominated for award will receive the support of the Clique’s executive producers to develop the project.

6. The winner would be offered the production attachment of NWF as executive producers to develop the project from the vision to the screen.

1. The Board of Directors invites and selects the projects to be pitched for the “Pitch Your Vision” project.

2. “Pitch Your Vision” is a “Clique” project developed by New World Films trading name for New World Trust, a non-profit organization that supports many different programs and initiatives within the industry.

3. “Clique” www.newworld-films.com/the-clique is the global association of talented creative industry professionals with the objective of supporting each other to produce outstanding works. Membership of “CLIQUE” is by invitation only.

4. The project “Pitch Your Vision” is an opportunity for talented writers/ directors/ producers and content creators to pitch in person the panel of film industry professionals and to network as an industry delegate at the 2026MIFF.

5. The selected candidates will receive a certificate of participation recognized as an attendance credit.

6. The Selected candidates will be nominated for access to the “Clique”, thus enjoy the membership of this exclusive club.

7. Entry form must be completed by the applicant via website www.newworld-films.com/pitch-your-vision prior to 1st August 2026.

8. The successful applicant will be notified of their selection by 1st September 2026.

9. The pitch will take place in person, during the Marbella International film festival.

10. The successful candidate is required to attend the festival at his/her own expense.

11. To attend the festival, the successful applicant is required to apply for MIFF accreditation and purchase an industry pass which would also give access to the festival activities.

12. Only the projects that meet the following criteria may be chosen for invitation to the official selection:

12.1. The producer/ director needs to submit a bio and outline of the pitch.

12.2. NO short film projects are accepted.

12.3. Projects must have a commercial objective and the objective to sell and distribute.

13. Throughout the duration of the events, none of the projects invited may be pitched to any other parties or in any other events.

14. The pitch document must be submitted in English. The pitch presentation must be in English.

15. The Board of Directors decides on the results of the competition. The board is not obliged to award to any submissions.

16. An entry form must be completed for all applications via www.newworld-films.com/pitch-your-vision prior to 7th September 2025.

17. Submission fees:

17.1. Early Bird. Of £150.00 Free for all applicants until 1st March 2026.

17.2. First time directors/ producers Submission fee of £100.00 until 1st March 2026.

17.3 Standard submission fee of £250.00 applies after 1st March until 1st June 2026.

17.4. late submission until 15th August 2026 £400-00.

18. New World Films’ office can provide you with further details and support for visa applications if your project is selected.

19. The board is not obliged to award to any applications.

20. For the avoidance of doubt the location and timing of the event shall be at the sole decision of the organizers.

21. The organizers are not responsible if the event is cancelled beyond their control.

22. Organizers have the power to settle all cases not covered by the present rules and regulations.

23. Participation in the "Pitch Your Vision” project implies acceptance of all the regulations and submission conditions. Furthermore, by completing the initial online submission form (you/ your company) agree to the organizers terms of the release as follows:

For the avoidance of doubt the location and timing of any staging shall be the sole decision of the organizers who also have the right to cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances.

3. You/ the Company will be solely responsible for all costs resulting from the submission of your project for the competition, including but not limited transport costs and expenses of your staff or any representatives of the project.

4. You/ the Company will indemnify the organizers of the festival against all claims, demands, costs, damages, expenses (including legal fees), proceedings and losses resulting from the pitching of your project from claims by any third parties.

5. You/ a director of the Company have/ has read, understood and agree(s) to be fully bound by these “Rules and Regulations 2026”.

6. You/ the Company understand and agree (s) that any failure to follow and adhere to the Rules and Regulations 2026 will result in the disqualification of your project.

7. You/ the Company understand (s) that the organizers accept no liability for any copyright claims on the presented projects.

8. You/ the Company understand(s) that there are no fees due to you for attending the event or for pitching your project.

9. You/ the Company agree (s) to be bound by the decision of the judges whose decision will be final. You/ the Company further understand (s) and agree(s) that the judges are not obliged to give any feedback to you regarding the project.

10. You/ the Company agree (s) that any legal dispute between you/ the Company and the organizers will be heard in the English courts according to the laws of England and Wales.
