Festival start: 01 October 2026
Festival end: 18 October 2026
Mirades Interculturals – Sant Feliu de Llobregat Micro Short Film Festival is an open call for audiovisual creation inviting participants to submit micro short films of up to 5 minutes on interculturality, cultural diversity and coexistence between cultures.
The festival aims to encourage creative perspectives that help build a more cohesive, respectful and participatory community through stories that highlight dialogue, mutual learning and meaningful encounters between people from different cultural backgrounds.
Interculturality is understood not only as the presence of diverse cultures in the same space, but as a process of relationship, interaction and shared construction. The festival will especially value films that portray everyday situations, encounters, complicities, learning processes, transformations or stories that help challenge stereotypes and prejudices.
The festival is open to filmmakers, collectives, educational centres, community organisations and citizens in general. The finalist films will be screened at a public gala in Sant Feliu de Llobregat during the first half of October 2026.
Participation in Mirades Interculturals – Sant Feliu de Llobregat Micro Short Film Festival is free of charge and open to any person, either individually or as part of a group. In the case of group participation, an adult representative must be appointed as the person responsible for the submission and for all legal aspects related to participation.
Submitted works must address interculturality, cultural diversity and coexistence between cultures, always from a respectful, positive and constructive perspective. Films containing offensive or violent content, or images or messages that violate image rights, privacy, copyright, or promote hatred, discrimination or intolerance, will not be accepted.
The maximum duration of each film is 5 minutes, including credits. Films may be fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, fantasy, music video or any other short audiovisual format compatible with the festival’s theme.
Films must be submitted in digital format, preferably .mp4 or .mov, H.264 codec, minimum Full HD 1920x1080 resolution and AAC 48 kHz audio or equivalent. Technical quality suitable for public screening is recommended.
Films may be submitted in any language. If the film is not in Catalan or Spanish, subtitles in one of these two languages must be included.
Participants must guarantee that they hold all necessary rights for the submitted work, including copyright, music rights, archive material, third-party materials and image rights of all people appearing in the film. If minors appear in the film, authorisation from their legal guardians is mandatory.
The submission deadline is 30 July 2026 at 23:59 h.
Finalist films will be selected by a jury made up of people connected to the audiovisual, social, cultural and community sectors. The selection criteria will include creativity, originality, technical quality, narrative coherence and relevance to the festival theme.
Finalist films will be screened at a public gala in Sant Feliu de Llobregat during the second half of October 2026. The final date and venue will be announced through the festival’s official channels.
Participants retain ownership of their works. By submitting a film, they authorise CohesionART to reproduce and publicly communicate the selected short films, on a non-profit basis, for cultural, educational, promotional and festival-related dissemination activities, for a period of 24 months, always crediting the authorship whenever possible.
Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of these rules. Any situation not covered by these rules will be resolved by the organisation and/or the jury according to criteria of fairness, equity and consistency with the values of the festival.
