The MONTEMARIO SHORT FILM FESTIVAL organised and sponsored by the The non-profit cultural association "CS-COMSPE" and "Arte & Musica d'Italia" is one of the foremost film festivals in Italy encouraging the participation of young and brilliant independent filmmakers of any nationality and affording them the opportunity to screen their films to a diverse audience of filmmakers and film lovers from all over the world.
The festival's mission has always been to enhance, promote and disseminate cinematographic, audiovisual and expressive forms of film reproduction, through Short Films and Video Clips as a form of visual and phonic expression, as an effective art, as a form of social and cultural communication, develop the potential of visual artistic language, respond to the needs of cultural growth of young people in a future environment strongly communicated with the visual arts, be amazed by creative skills, to give creatives, directors and filmmakers the right space for their talent in the greatest possible visibility.

Duration: For the Short Film section they can have a duration of up to 30 min. Opening and closing credits included
language and subtitles: Italian authors must submit short films in Italian (subtitling not mandatory), non-Italian authors who do not adopt the Italian language must submit short films subtitled in Italian and/or english. (e.g. short film shot in Arabic subtitled in english and/or Italian)
prizes: will be awarded in all short film category, prizes will include a cash price and a plaque to the winning directors/producers. Other prizes may be awarded (best director, best actor, best actress, best cinematography, best music).
The Jury: composed of directors, set designers, photographers, actors, journalists, producers and reference figures in the cinema, TV, audiovisual and image fields in general. The Jury will award the prizes at its sole discretion. No ex aequo prizes may be awarded.
Registration: the Festival is open to all subjects from 16 years onwards, without constraints and preclusions of race or religion, all short films that have not been present at previous editions of the Festival can be admitted to the competition. The regulation must be signed in all its pages, in the case of a minor by those who exercise the parental authority and / or by the teachers of the school to which they belong. Each short film must be sent in a suitable format on DVD PAL support, on the support must be indicated title, author and duration.
All the material produced will remain the property of the organization and can be used for the dissemination of the festival and its partners / sponsors. The registration form must be completed in block letters in its entirety and signed in original. The regulation must be signed on every page under penalty of exclusion. In the case of a short film made by a minor, the signature of a parent or teacher responsible must be required.
