MOSCA – Cambuquira Short Film Festival takes place at an old street cinema that remained closed for about 20 years and was brought to life in 2001 as a cultural centre. Cambuquira is a small town located in the Water Circuit of Minas Gerais.
The programme is composed by brazilian and international short films, special programs, debates, workshops, photo exhibitions, children's activities, MOSCA’s Coffee and the itinerant festival at schools.
13th MOSCA will happen between July 8th and 12th 2020 at Antigo Cinema | Espaço Cultural Sinhá Prado, at Cambuquira/MG - Brazil.
MOSCA's International Sh
owcase is a non competitive film festival (only for Popular Jury) and a non profit project.
AWARDS
1) MOSCA is a film festival competitive just for Popular Jury. The audience can vote to elect the winners of 13th MOSCA – Cambuquira Short Film Festival.
2) The Official Jury prizes will apply only for Brazilian short films.
3) The brazilian short films compete at Popular Jury only for services provided by brazilian companies.
4) The international films will be screened in a non-competitive special programs, but they will be voted by the public and are eligible for the title and certificate of 12th MOSCA Best International Short Film by the Popular Jury.
5) International Short films selected for Kids and Teens Programme are eligible for title: 13th MOSCA Best International Kids and Teens Short Film of MOSCA by Popular Jury.
6) The results will be announced at the closing ceremony on Sunday, July 12th, 2020.
CONDITIONS FOR SUBMISSIONS
1) The short films accepted for submissions could be fiction, documentary, and children’s / animation or experimental.
2) Films must have a maximum running time of 30 minutes.
3) Films must have had its premiere after January 2019.
4) All shooting formats are accepted. The selected films will be screened in HD digital format 1080p.
5) To submit your film, access the website www.mostramosca.com.br, fill the entry form with information and link and password for preview (vimeo, youtube or any other).
6) MOSCA isn't a competitive showcase. The competition will be only through Popular Jury.
7) It is the exclusive responsibility of the applicant who submits its audiovisual work to the Festival to ensure compliance with all and any copyright regulations related to music and images involved in the work submitted.
8) By submitting a short film, the author/producer allows the public use of his/her name, image and film excerpts (up to 2 minutes) from the selected short film as part of the promotion of 13th MOSCA and further editions.
9) By submitting a short film, the author/producer of the selected short film furthermore grants permission for the screening of the film at MOSCA’s itinerant program, including MOSCA AT SCHOOL, outside Cambuquira and in any other possible screening related to 13th MOSCA with no commercial purposes.
10) Our staff is committed in using the selected films only during 13th MOSCA and in the events described in the 8th and 9th items. Our staff is not responsible for unduly behavior by others, whether on the internet or anywhere outside the Festival.
