Michigan's newest horror convention and film festival. We are accepting horror/sci-fi features and shorts. We will also have a Made In Michigan section to support local filmmakers in any genre. Made In Michigan will not require a fee to submit, but is not eligible for any awards. We are a show for fans by fans. Be a part of our legacy!

SCREENING INFORMATION
Film screening times and dates of films are at the discretion of Motor City Legacy Horror ConventionandFilmFestival, March 18th - 20th 2022. All accepted films with pay a submission fee of ($$$). All accepted films will be screened at least once during the festival; some films may be screened twice.
Motor City Legacy llc. may also reserve the right to screen the film in the two weeks prior to the festival to promote the event.
Motor City Legacy llc. may also screen the film one additional time at another promotional, "Best of the Fest" or educational event.
Filmmaker agrees to allow Motor City Legacy llc. to show segments (60 seconds or less) of film for festival promotional purposes.
Filmmaker agrees to allow Motor City Legacy llc. to use film stills/photographs/imagery from film for year-round festival promotional purposes in print and online.
FORMAT
The filmmaker is responsible for providing the festival with a digital Exhibition File and/or Copy.
Every precaution will be taken to safeguard films and hard drives while they are in the possession of Motor City Legacy llc. However, Motor City Legacy llc. is not responsible for any loss or damage to films, digital files, or DVDs directly or indirectly caused by any representative, volunteer, staff of Motor City Legacy llc. or arising from damages incurred as a result of actions taken by our screening venues including but not limited to mishandling of the film or equipment malfunction.
Motor City Legacy llc. strongly recommends the filmmaker obtain the necessary insurance coverage to protect him or her in the event of damage to, loss of, or theft of, the film or hard drive.
PRESS AND PUBLICITY INFORMATION
Motor City Legacy llc. reserves the right to use stills and/or clips from accepted films for publicity and printed materials, including on the website, social media outlets, official festival program and promotion of the festival.
INDEMNIFICATION
The Filmmaker agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Motor City Legacy llc. and its directors, officers, other employees, affiliates, sublicensees, and agents from and against all claims, losses, liabilities, demands, and defense costs (including reasonable expert’s and attorneys' fees), judgments and other expenses (collectively “Losses”) arising out of or on account of the Filmmaker’s breach or alleged breach of any of the terms, warranties, or representations of this Agreement except to the extent such Losses are caused by the breach by Motor City Legacy llc. of its obligations under this Agreement.
This provision shall survive termination or expiration of this Agreement.
MEDIATION AND ARBITRATION
1. If a dispute arises under this Agreement, the parties agree to first try to resolve it with the help of a mutually agreed upon mediator in the following location Wayne County, MI. Any costs and fees other attorney fees associated with the mediation shall be shared equally by the parties.
2. If it proves impossible to arrive at a mutually satisfactory solution through mediation, the parties agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration at the following location Wayne County, MI under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Judgment upon the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court with jurisdiction to do so. This provision shall survive termination or expiration of this Agreement.
ATTORNEY FEES
If any legal action is necessary to enforce this Agreement, the prevailing party shall be entitled to reasonable attorney fees, costs and expenses.
COPYRIGHT WARRANTY
I hereby state that I own the copyright to the film I am representing, or have been granted the legal authority by the copyright holder to submit this film for festival exhibition, and indemnify the Motor City Legacy Horror Convention and Film Festival. and all its employees, contractors and volunteers of any damages relating to the copyright of the film.
MODIFICATIONS
This agreement embodies the entire agreement and understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings relating to the subject matter. This agreement may not be modified or amended or any term or provision hereof waived or discharged except in writing signed by the parties.
I accept this invitation and understand and agree to the terms outlined above.
