Festival start: 26 September 2019      Festival end: 28 September 2019

New York No Limits Film Series is an ongoing collection of one-night short film screenings that presents the best films from around the world in the most unique and dynamic arts city in the world. The series culminates with the Summit, a 3-day festival that exhibits feature films and short films.

New York No Limits Film Series' mission is to sustain diversity in film, create discussion among the audience, and inspire filmmakers to push forward to perfect their craft to their fullest potential. The series provides filmmakers the platform to explore innovative narrative and personal themes that focus on the human experience. We encourage films to experiment without commercial pressure.

Cash Prizes: 1,250$

New York No Limits Film Series will present awards for Best Feature Film and Best Short Film, and the Audience Award at our Summit in October 2020.

Short films that exhibit at our short film events throughout the season are eligible for additional screening at the Summit in December 2020. Our Jury will select the Best Feature and Short Film award winners for 2020, which will be formally announced at the conclusion of the Summit.

Please take note, feature films are only screened at the Summit. Additionally, feature and short films are screened at the Summit event.

Films of any genre are accepted for consideration to our screening series. Short films produced within 24 months of submission and under 40 minutes in length are eligible for consideration for screening in our periodic Art of the Short Film screening series. The best short films shown throughout the year will be selected by NYNL staff to be included in the 2020 Summit in December.

Feature films produced within 24 months of submission and 40 minutes or longer in running time will be selected by NYNL staff for inclusion in the Summit.

The NYNL jury will select the Best Short Film and Best Feature Film, which will be awarded a $500 and $750 prize respectively at the conclusion of the Summit.

All films must be received by listed deadline dates. Any applications received after each deadline will be considered for the next film series.

By submitting to New York No Limits Film Series, you are consenting to the exhibition of your film, use of all cast/crew names, and images associated with the film for exhibition and promotional purposes.

New York No Limits Film Series does not offer a screening fee to filmmakers.

By submitting a film, the submitter grants New York No Limits the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes.

The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.

In submitting a film, the submitter shall indemnify and hold harmless the New York No Limits Film Series from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.

Festhome holds accountable fees festivals by holding the payment of the fees of most newer festivals until they have viewed the submissions, held their festivals and other methods.
