The PANIC A ESTRADA Short Film Competition is an initiative promoted by the Department of Culture of the City Council of A Estrada (Pontevedra) and the Municipal School of Performing Arts of A Estrada, within the activities scheduled for the PANIC Horror Film Festival.

A single prize of 400 Euros
1.- The PANIC A ESTRADA Short Film Contest is an initiative promoted by the Department of Culture of the Concello da Estrada (Pontevedra) and the Escola Municipal de Artes Escénicas da Estrada within the activities scheduled for the Panic Horror Film Festival.
2.- Any individual, association or group may participate without age restriction.
3.- The works of fiction presented must have a horror or mystery theme.
4.- The works presented may have a maximum duration of 20 minutes, including the opening titles and end credits. Any work that exceeds that duration will be excluded from the contest.
5.- The short films presented must be made in Galician language or subtitled in Galician language.
6.- The works must be presented through the FESTHOME platform or sent by mail to the Department of Culture of the City Council of A Estrada in any digital format.
7.- The deadline for submission of short films for this edition of the Contest will be January 27, 2023.
8.- The Department of Culture of the City Council of A Estrada will appoint a jury made up of three people with experience in the audiovisual context who will be in charge of evaluating the works, selecting the three finalists and awarding the winning short film. The award will be presented at a final gala to be held on February 3 at 11:00 p.m. in Central Minicines and in which the finalist shorts will be shown in
large screen.
9.- The winning work will receive a single prize of € 400.00.
10.-The presence, direct or interposed, of a representative of the artistic team responsible for the short film will be an essential requirement to receive the award.
11.- The selection of the three finalist short films will be published on the Festival website www.panic.aestrada.gal
12.-Contestants are responsible for the fact that there are no rights to third parties for the use of the musical pieces in the works presented and are also responsible for the image rights of the people who appear in them, exempting the organization from any type of responsibility in this regard. In the event that an audio track with material owned by a record company is used without their permission, the film will not be accepted in competition.
13.- The short films presented will become part of the festival's video library and will be published on the festival's website www.panic.aestrada.gal
14.- Enrollment in the contest implies acceptance of these rules in their entirety.
