Place des courts is a non-profit 1901 law association, our desire to promote and publicize short films by inviting them to rural areas, share our passion by organizing outdoor festivals, and discover the talent of directors and comedians. in places of conviviality.

PLACE DES COURTS FESTIVALS RULES: 2024 session

1 - OBJECTIVES OF THE FESTIVAL
Place des courts is organizing an outdoor artistic festival in the heart of a village in the Hérault, Joncels

PROGRAM
5 films will be selected by our selection committee, and will be screened on the evening of August 10, 2024.

2 - CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The selection of films is open to French-speaking short films, for films produced after January 1, 2022. The number of films per director is not limited.

The competition is open to professionals, amateurs and young creators.

TERM

Only films between 5 and 20 minutes long, credits included, can be submitted to the selection committee.

KIND

We accept all fiction films, the theme is free.

Documentaries, music videos, advertising and institutional films, pornographic and discriminatory films are not accepted.

3- REGISTRATION
DEADLINE FOR SENDING: June 30, 2024
Registrations are made through the Festhome site.

DATE OF RESPONSE FROM THE SELECTION COMMITTEE: July 15, 2024 (available on the website www.placedescourts.com)
The decisions of the committee are without appeal and will not have to be justified.

4 - SELECTION
PROJECTION SUPPORTS
The format to send to us via wetransfer, vimeo or other:

- HD MOV or AVI video file, H264 Apple Pro Res 422 -1920x1080 pixels

Send us the film poster, trailer and director's photo. Any film selected cannot be withdrawn by the director or any rights holder. In the event of non-receipt of all elements by July 22, 2024, the festival grants itself the right to cancel the selection.

The Place des courts association does not remunerate the selected films and does not reimburse registrations in the event of non-selection.

5 - DATES, PLACES AND ORGANIZATION
The Festival will take place on Saturday August 10, 2024, organized by the association Place des courts, whose head office is located at 12 route de Saint Privat - 34700 Usclas du Bosc

6 - PRICES
The 5 selected films will be able to add a laurel that we will send to them by email. On the evening of the screening among the 5 films selected and screened, the public will vote to award the prize for the best film among the 5 finalists.

7 - SUPPORT
The shipping costs of all films presented at the festivals are borne by the participants. In the event of theft, loss or damage during this period, the responsibility of the Place des courts association is not engaged.

The Place des courts association strongly wishes the presence of the directors or actors of the selected films, one person per selected film can be accommodated in a lodging by the association, but does not cover the transport costs to get to the festival. However, the association will take into account all meals and drinks for the day of August 10, 2024 in order to best accommodate its guests.

8 - RIGHTS
Any film selected in competition cannot be withdrawn by the production or the director once it has been selected.

The producer or the director undertakes to be in possession of the musical rights, images of the film and texts of the works included in the film. Otherwise, the responsibility of the festival and the association Place des courts cannot be engaged. No financial compensation can be requested.

The association reserves the right to promote the films selected and rewarded in any publication (images of the film, trailer, extract from the film, radio, article, press, publication on its site, and social networks). For the 5 films selected, a page on the Place des courts website will be dedicated to them, including the director's photo and press kit, filming photos, trailer documents to be sent to us by email before July 22, 2024

In the event of a problem beyond its control, the Place des courts association, organizer of the festival, reserves the right to postpone or cancel.

The sending of the film on the registration platform, as well as the participation in the competition, are valid for acceptance of these rules.
