Mark your calendars now for our 5th Annual Prescott Film Festival which take place July 23-27, 2014. You won’t want to miss a day of the 2014 Prescott Film Festival! We’ll have fantastic films, guest filmmakers, and after-parties with live music –– all presented on the beautiful campus of Yavapai College! We are just getting started on our plans for this year’s festival. Film submissions will open on December 1 and our tireless team of programmers will be looking at hundreds of films to find the very best examples of independent filmmaking. Last year we were excited to present a shorts program of ALL PRESCOTT FILMS! It was a great event and proof positive that film and the culture of filmmaking is growing here in Everybody’s Hometown, Prescott Arizona! Cash Prizes: 1,000$

Jury Awards
The Jury Awards are determined by the programming jury. Winners will receive a trophy and cash award. Cash award values are determined by the entry category (see appropriate section).

Audience Choice Awards
The Audience Choice Awards are chosen by the voting of those in attendance. Winners will receive a Trophy.

Rules

We accept films in all genres for consideration. Prescott Programmers are always excited to find comedies, adventures, mysteries, science fiction and thrillers. In addition the festival also programs a series of "Family Friendly" films. Programmers especially like to find environment films, animal and farming related films, (especially horses) and films about music, history, art and architecture.

Filmmakers are responsible for postage to the festival and return postage for exhibition copies. If you would like your exhibition copy returned, please include a self-addressed stamped video mailer with your submission after acceptance. While the Festival will take precautions to handle your film responsibly, the festival, its committee, agents and staff cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to any materials entered.

The winner of the Best Arizona Film award will receive a trophy and cash award. To be eligible for this award the film must be shot primarily on location in Arizona or written by a screenwriter who is an Arizona resident. Cash Award Value: 200 U.S. Dollar
This prize is shared with other categories.

The winner of the Best Emerging Filmmaker award will receive a trophy and cash award. To be eligible for this award the director or screenwriter must be making their first film per IMDB credits.
Cash Award Value: 300 U.S. Dollar
